A full workshop intensive for those ready to move from curiosity into creation by developing an original performance concept through research, score writing, and guidance.
I was so pleased to see the interest in performance art when I shared the poll on my story. It gave me such a feeling of love and restoration for our world. If we aren’t making work that truly means something to our core, then why make anything at all?
With these workshops, I’ll share some of the pieces I’ve picked up over the years and support you in building something you’ll cherish. I can’t wait to make with you.
To sign up, please follow the links in my bio. Both courses are sliding scale, but if price is a barrier, please send me a message and we can work it out.
There is also a discount if you sign up for both workshops.
Soft Power Studios is unfortunately not wheelchair accessible. If this is a barrier for you, please send me a message and I’ll find an alternative location.

It’s Trans Day of Visibility and I’m thinking a lot about the human who made this series over 5 years ago. I was Trans then and I’m Trans now. And I’m so fucking proud of myself for believing in myself and get to this point in my life. I couldn’t have done it without the love and support of those around me. I couldn’t have done it without the love and support of other Trans people. I could not have done it without seeing other Trans people live authentically. Times are harder for some of us right now, if you care for a Trans person let them know!
If you are struggling or just wanna have a chat I’m just a message away. Seriously, so many times a person lending me an ear has saved me.
Give and You May Receive, 2021
Give and You May Receive is an interpersonal scope of the bond between two trans people as they explore each other while exploring themselves simultaneously. In a world where most lives are held under the internet and Social Media lens, I invite the viewer into something more profound, beyond any moment in time. A moment that is unfolding as it is captured. I am intentional about our journey’s vulnerability and what it ultimately means for each of us to reach gender and sexual affirmation. The road to body euphoria is not linear, no matter your gender. Through the will to build each other while simultaneously building ourselves, I attempt to capture the honest act of what it means to love a partner unconditionally through all parts of their journey.
Viewing the remainder of the series is possible upon request.

Hi there.
It feels like the right time to break the third wall and introduce myself.
I’m Getsay, a Queer conceptual artist whose work moves between performance, sculpture, installation, and photography.
My practice engages endurance, embodiment, and material tension as sites where power becomes visible. Cement, constraint, repetition, ritual gesture; Bigger than metaphors. They are frameworks and methods for examining survival, intimacy, and control through sustained experience.
The work situates itself between softness and severity, constructing durational conditions in which tension is sustained. Endurance functions as an ethic of care — an insistence on presence in the face of pressure. To remain is not passive; it is a quiet act of resistance against systems that are extractive, violent, and unjust.
On the final slide, you’ll see my reflection on shared studio space — and specifically, shared, empowering studio space.
“Softness is not the opposite of strength. It is how we survive.”
I’m also the co-founder of Soft Power Studios, alongside my partner and studio artist Katie Kearns — and I’m the voice behind this Instagram, if you hadn’t caught on yet.
Soft Power began as something practical and quickly revealed itself as something necessary; a means of survival for us and for the artists around us.
It grew from a lived understanding that artists need support systems that sustain them rather than structures that deplete them, a necessity made even more urgent for Queer and FLINTA* artists navigating systems that have long marginalized and worked against our existence.
After years inside competitive, underfunded, and isolating environments, Katie and I decided to build the studio we could not find — one that holds rigor, support, and sustainability equally.
We wanted a space anchored in presence and reciprocity, attentive to the long arc of development. A place where time, depth, and care are built collectively.
We wanted Soft Power studios to be the home we never had; A space capable of becoming home for others as well.
I’ve been quiet.
Not absent — just working.
Testing. Failing. Rebuilding.
Committing to something that feels bigger than me.
On my birthday 3.3, I’ll share the first of what’s been forming.
And through March, I’ll be revealing the rest.
It feels like a return, a rebirth
Or maybe a beginning.
Self Portrait 2026.
I married the love of my life on 9.25.25.
My heart has so many words that I can barely write them down. Growing up as a queer person in the south you don’t think you can have something like this. You don’t think you’ll get your chance - that’s what the world around you says. I’m lucky to have stepped out of that noise. Lucky to have found my person in the chaos. Lucky I got to marry them! There’s so much wrong going on in the world but I’ve got you baby.
@ohhayykk you are my moon, my heart, my constant reminder that I’m exactly where Im supposed to be.
Thank you @vlasenko_photographer for capturing our day!
And @gettingmarriedindenmark for help with all the paperwork!!

Berlin’s Off Program for spaces during Gallery Weekend Curated by @clara_pistner (@craving.projects ) and @rhodeeo
“The presented touch” is a group exhibition that brings together artistic positions from different media. The unifying element is the theme of the surface: as a physical structure, as a visual phenomenon, as a boundary between inside and outside - as a metaphor for what is visible and what remains hidden. What remains on the surface - and what lies beneath?
⭐️⭐️⭐️
I will be performing
“Ensnared“ Sunday from 3 to 6pm
What do surfaces hold when no one presses against them?
When even the barrier is denied, does touch echo louder?
Cute pics for the Algiii I hope you can make it!
Stay after for a little chat :)
Exalted
Easter Sunday 2025
4.20.2025 at 2pm
Resurrection is not a solitary act but a collective healing, a return to love. Renewal as an ethic of care, where rising is not about power but about being held, seen, and remembered. To resurrect is to insist on liberation together—to thrive, not just survive.
Exalted will begin shortly after 2pm. Following the performance there will be time to chat about the work. I hope to see you there.
