Get ready for a powerful walk towards a period-friendly future! We are thrilled to announce the next phase of the Beauty Queens for Period Equity Initiative — The Glowcare Foundation’s Beauty Queens Walk for Pads, happening on February 20th, 2026, in commemoration of World Day of Social Justice. This walk aims to raise awareness about period poverty — the lack of access to menstrual hygiene products, education, and period-friendly facilities. As a result, many girls miss school and vital opportunities, while others resort to using makeshift pads such as tissues, rags, or newspapers, exposing them to serious health risks and infections. Beyond access, this walk seeks to sensitise the public, break the silence, and challenge the stigma, shame, and harmful taboos surrounding menstruation — so we can normalise periods and protect the dignity of women and girls. Period poverty is a social justice issue and a violation of human rights. Every individual deserves dignity, health, and equality, regardless of their menstrual status. 📍 Route: Ikeja Under Bridge → Lagos State Secretariat & State House Join us as we advocate for the over 38 million women and girls in Nigeria who struggle to access sanitary products. Together, we can amplify their voices and create lasting change. Call to Action ✨ Beauty Queens: We warmly invite queens across all pageantries to join us, partner with us, and use your voice to champion this cause. ✨ Partners & Supporters: Whether you’re an influencer, model, pageant supporter, or advocate — we invite you to walk with us and use your platform to spotlight period poverty. 📩 For sponsorship, partnerships, or volunteering: Please reach out via Email, DM, or WhatsApp (details on flyer). Let’s walk towards a period-friendly future, together. #BeautyQueensForPeriodEquity #BeautyQueensWalkForPads #PeriodEquity #MenstrualHealth #BreakTheSilence HumanRights

Imagine missing school every month just because of your period. In Nigeria, so many girls don’t have access to basic menstrual products. Some end up using unsafe alternatives, and some just stay home from school altogether. I’m partnering with @gcfoundation_ this May to provide sanitary kits to 3,000 girls in Imo State. If you can help, I would really appreciate it 💗🔗 Link in my bio to donate. Even a small amount goes a long way. Let’s show up for them. #periodpoverty #menstrualhygiene #girlseducation #donate #sanitarykit

1 of 6 schools reached in Abia State! Our goal is to provide 3,000 sanitary pads across the state — 500 have already been distributed, with 2,500 more to go. In partnership with Servewell @weservewell , we kicked off our pilot project in this school by: ✔ Distributing sanitary pads to all female students and staff ✔ Establishing a sustainable pad bank ✔ Conducting menstrual hygiene education sessions Our next phase is to ensure access to proper sanitation by providing functional toilet facilities and running water for the students. We extend our heartfelt appreciation to our partners, Servewell, for their support in making this impact possible. We are open to partnerships as we work to reach 5 more schools. Together, we can do more. A period-friendly Nigeria is possible — and it starts with you and I. #EndPeriodPovertyToday
