since I was a wee boy I had my heart bursting to go to LA. watching ill civ sk8 videos on New Line Road, wishing i was in North Hollywood. But there’s not even a train to Dublin from LK let alone a flight to LAX from Carrickfinn so the dream of recording an album in California is a pretty big one. mind you, there is no reason for artist from Tír Chonaill, even though sometimes there is an instinct to, to put ourselves down due to geography. we can fuckn do it. we can do whatever we want. we just needa learn how to drive, or get the bus.
making our second record in La Frette was the most enjoyable time I’ve ever had as a musician. making this record, was the most affirming.
@themurdercapital ’s first record was born out of us all dealing with grief. everything after it has been the biggest testament to the importance of livin life. I am so lucky. the life that I have lived because of these men and this band has literally made my dreams come true over and over again and I will never be done being grateful to them and to our work, for that.
