“FOR THE HOMIES”
Saigon, Vietnam
April, 2026
After flying from London to Shanghai, Shanghai to Hanoi, and down to Saigon, I finally returned to a city that feels like a second home.
Over the past week, I got to meet up with members of the Vietmonster familia. After a few days hanging out, their OG Liêm confirmed I’d be able to shoot with some of them.
“FOR THE HOMIES” is a project that comes from years of wandering through dense Southeast Asian cities, getting lost in alleyways and side streets with no real direction. I wanted to document the city beyond its touristic image, capturing the everyday environments where local life really is.
I wanted to explore how identity, style, and community take shape within Saigon’s lesser-seen streets and social spaces. It’s a direct, unromanticized portrait of the city and the people who inhabit its beaten tracks.
Thank you to all the amazing people I got to meet through this project. These are among my favorite snaps I’ve ever taken to this day. 🖤
“SPINE OF RELIEF”
Last year, I had this project in mind, but the concept wasn’t fully ready to shoot. It’s only recently that the idea, the location, and the weather all came together.
Back in the French Alps, my friend Gab and I drove up near the mountain where the pine forests are, and in freezing cold pouring rain, I set up the lights while she was putting on my mum’s wedding dress in the car and getting ready. We only had limited time to shoot because a storm was forecast for that night, and Gab was literally barefoot in what felt like -5°C so big thanks to her for putting up with all my nonsense ideas, as usual! 🖤

This project was inspired by the concept of the Afterlife in Asian culture.
It’s about the expectation of suffering, the convergence of identity to fit tradition, the stories that are buried, and what families don’t discuss. It’s about the color of purity and what you leave behind. Spirits in transit that float and stumble in the no man’s land of fear. It’s about how the space in between is perceived and how we experience the final State of Being.
// Since moving to London, I hadn’t had the chance to work on another personal project. It’s been nonstop shows and work, and my last piece dates all the way back to January.
I’ve really missed creating this kind of work. A recent trip back to my hometown gave me the inspiration I needed to try something new and reconnect with writing again. 📸

[Go quietly, past the altar where the world goes blind.
Scream in the silence — but don’t become the noise.
Don’t blame the mouth of madness; every soul has its plague.
You are still the child of collapse.
Don’t forget — don’t forget.
Spit the truth even when it bends the throat,
Before this place tears your name
And sells your worth
To those who breathe the earth,
Those who are pure — sustain.
All hearts falter.
All kings get buried.
Be your own altar,
And go quietly, unhurried.
This city is like a tomb,
Carved to each of our desires,
But leaves us all with infection.
I remember.
They come here with stars in their mouths —
Now they cough up the bones they’ve been polishing.
They forget the mountains, the smell of home.
Take me back — take me back
To where the light defied the thunder.
I remember.]
Been listening to a whole load of good music, went to Scotland, made new friends, filled up my hard drive with cool stuff, almost watched LOTR for the first time…
I definitely gave the camera a decent workout on this tour and I can’t wait to get more snaps! a big thank you to the @falserealityhc gang for having me 🖤
Last week we had the pleasure of hosting @madrasalach_ ‘s sold-out show! You came, you danced, you sang, you watched the football and held your phones up so Madra could watch the penalties while singing! What a gig!
