FROID DUB _ « We had the chance to remix a track from the GLOK / CLERKIN new album — two legends of the UK music scene and two incredibly cool personalities. Timothy Clerkin, compulsive collector of synths maestro of electro and GLOK, instrumental project of Andy Bell, bassist of Ride and Oasis, and a brilliantly versatile musician. »

Short trip to U.K. over the last few days.
Sometimes you think it was great, but you know it was just okay, which is already very good, and sometimes IT WAS AMAZING. When we started the evening, we didn’t think we would collide so powerfully with HOLY. Richard and Tom’s set yesterday was brilliant. Physical, mental, demanding and generous. A pure marvel. A pearl in the ocean of music that floods our lives and our networks. Everyone who was there, including the DJs, was there for good reasons, and one of them was undoubtedly the music. I hope you all get to experience the same emotions we had this Sunday in that underground club in Dalston. Special mention to the CU club’s sound system, which is magnificent. The White Hotel in Manchester delivered on its promises with an incredibly receptive audience. The welcome, the sound, the music selection, everything was perfect!!!! A place at the crossroads of everything that’s good. Thank you all so much!!! @deathinvegasmusic@dubwisevinyl@cu_dalston@m3_7lw@bitzer.malo@pigeon_steve@bakk.heia.records
A few years ago a dear friend threw a magical party in Ballycastle which I was honoured to open. Just before the party started I was testing the decks and put on Froid Dub’s ‘An Iceberg Cruising the Jamaican Coastline’ a record that had really blown me away on first hearing, a refreshing take on dub, post punk with heavy dub under currents, pitched down vocals that hit like hearing the Black Zone Myth Chant album which I’d loved. As I put the record on Tomas, who was running the sound system enthusiastically got out a copy of the same record out this bag, then followed by his mate who was helping out, rolling blunts mainly it seemed, got a copy out of his box too. Tomas became a close friend and he does the sound at the incredible Ulster Sports Club, our friendship was cemented over that record. The same can be said with Tom who I run HOLY with, there’s not been a HOLY when we haven’t played Froid Dub at some point. Last year I was psyched to get asked to remix a track off their killer album on Ransom Note. So having them play for us on the February 22nd at Cu in Dalston means the world to us.
Tickets are flying for this so don’t sleep, to purchase hit bio.
Richard and Tom 💚
HOLY kicks off 2026 in fine style by welcoming experimental dub heroes @froid_dub all the way from Paris who will be delivering a live set of their unique blend of icy coldwave synths and warm dub basslines.
To say we’re big fans of these guys is a major understatement. Ever since their debut record landed (the aptly named “An Iceberg Crusing The Jamaican Coastline”) we’ve been obsessed with their exemplary musical output and I don’t think we’ve done a single sessions of HOLY where we haven’t played at least one of their tracks so to have them join us on the night for a live dub set really is very special indeed. Another dream guest.
So make sure you join us on 22nd February @cu_dalston for a very rare opportunity to see one of the most exciting purveyors of forward thinking dubwise sounds perform live in an intimate London venue on an insanely good soundsystem. DJ support as always comes from us delivering a 100% vinyl journey into dub in its myriad of mutations.
