CIVIC SUMMER STUDIO June 22th – July 17th, 2026 Monday - Thursdays 9:30am-3:30pm Castlemont High School - 8601 MacArthur Blvd, Oakland *** Painting *** Digital Fabrication + Building ***Murals and Public Art *** Augmented Reality Sign Up! Tell your teacher you want to join Civic Summer Studio, and sign up through your Work Based Learning lead at your OUSD school. DM us with questions! ABOUT CIVIC SUMMER STUDIO Be one of 40 youth artists/builders that are interested in uplifting neighborhoods, schools and communities. We will be making murals for Chinatown and Eastlake, as well as building a popup outdoor classroom at Castlemont with students who designed it. Expect to be outdoors (in shade) all day. We are located at the Castlemont Fabrication Lab, which is next to the Castlemont Farm, so expect to see chickens and a lot of amazing nature, as well as making art and doing carpentry builds. For youth interested in exploring art and design as a profession, you will be doing award winning work among a group of peers and master artists and builders. Thousands of educators from across California experienced the talent, culture, and pride our students bring to the stage.
