Honored to host EBAYC’s Children’s Day 2026 at Clinton Park, welcoming over 500 students from four different elementary schools for a day filled with joy, laughter, and community. For the past 2.5 years, one of our biggest goals has been to help make Clinton Park clean, safe, and welcoming enough for kids and families to truly return and enjoy the space again. Seeing hundreds of children running, playing, laughing, and bringing life back into this park was a powerful reminder of why this work matters so much. This is the heart behind the long hours, endless meetings, partnerships, and community efforts — creating spaces where Oakland youth can connect, be active outdoors, build friendships across cultures, step away from screens, and simply enjoy being kids. The energy these students brought to the park made the entire space feel alive. Moments like this make every challenge worth it. Huge thank you to @ebaycprograms for trusting us with such a meaningful event and for continuing to invest in Oakland’s youth and community.

Last weekend I visited Clinton Park in Oakland’s Little Saigon to celebrate Southeast Asian New Year. It was exciting to be part of one of the first TLC (Thai, Lao, Cambodian) community events in Oakland and to see so many people come together in celebration. I also took the opportunity to check out the recent upgrades at the Clinton Community Center. It’s great to see continued investment in keeping Clinton Park a welcoming space for everyone. During the event, The S.H.A.D.E Movement hosted a powerful panel discussion that brought together advocates, leaders, and artists to talk about healing, accountability, and breaking cycles of harm while raising awareness about human trafficking. @clinton_park_oakland @s.h.a.d.e_movement @oaklandtrybe
