This entry comes from Eastern Distributor (@eastern.distributor ), the stage name of Naarm-based artist Daniel Jakobsson, a versatile creator pushing the boundaries of electronic music. Eastern Distributor focuses on a rich tapestry of deep, syncopated basslines and minimalist, crisp percussion. Tracks unfold with ambient, evolving soundscapes that create an atmospheric backdrop, inviting exploration and introspection within its rhythmic foundation. “I’m so excited to be sharing this mix for the Framework/TOWER series. I love the concept, this particular mix is inspired by the glass component in the construction of the tower. I leant toward choosing dynamically wide tracks; low end and layered high frequency percussion. One and a half hours of shifting between experimental, dubstep, liquid and plenty of tek. This entry comes from seasoned Austrian DJ/producer Sun People (@sunpeople_official ). The mix arrives amidst delays in global sonic trade, originally intended as a compliment to TOWER 9's insulation installation at Bossa Nova Civic Club on July 2, 2024. Expect supervision through footwork, jungle, drum & bass, etc. with an instrumental orientation, celebrating the near completion of the Inside. Simon Hafner’s two decade long stint in dance music has yielded a glorious treasure trail of club-minded innovation. Initially emerging as part of the Winterstrand trio (alongside his two brothers) in the late nineties, he then proceeded solo: first, as the dubwise broken beat leanings of Simon/off in the mid-2000s, and now Sun People. Having settled into his current alias for over a decade now, his output since its inception has been widely regarded for its inimitable takes on jungle and footwork, fascinatingly hybridised with a wide variety of styles like juke, techno, electro, minimal and dub. Throughout the mix, she establishes several long-distance, electrical connections in preparation for the next edition of TOWER, April 25 at Bossa Nova Civic Club in Brooklyn. “To those that follow forward radio channels such as Kiosk and Future Intel, as well as clubs like Garage Noord and POING, the name Yb3L should ring a big bell. Through heavy breaks, bouncy rhythms, futuristic bass and infectious bangers with a mystical touch, this rising DJ/producer is pervading the most adventurous areas of the Dutch scene.
