Artist Feature: Norma Beggs / @norma_beggs Work on display @foxyardstudio . Norma Beggs is a Northern Ireland–based artist working with textiles and mixed media. Her practice explores the space between structure and intuition, using stitch, colour and layered materials to create abstract works informed by place, memory and light. Working with fabric strips, surface stitch and illumination, she builds compositions that echo horizons, thresholds and shifting coastal atmospheres. Repetition and rhythm allow subtle variations in colour, transparency and line to emerge over time. Alongside her studio practice, Norma has an established history of collaborative and community-based work, particularly with older people. Artist statement: "My practice explores the space between sea and sky through stitched textile constructions, using colour, repetition and light to create a sense of atmosphere and transition."
