Bringing together community, music, dance, and traditions rooted in nature - weāre asking, what is the meaning of āfolkā in our community?
Our May Day event is a way to get together, support each other and enjoy nature in the city.
So lets welcome in the longer days and warmer sun together as we embrace Spring with a packed programme of workshops, maypole dancing, art, food, drink, markets & much more at our Forever Fields community garden in Chorlton.
Our focus is on local and we want the whole community down to enjoy the space!

Thereās absolutely loads to get involved in, including the Hal-an-Tow! This ancient folk tradition celebrates the departure of winter with a procession of song and dance following a singing bush, otherwise known as the Jack in the Green!
