A little milestone for us… one year of walking together (even if we’re not entirely sure when we started counting!)
We loved welcoming new faces this weekend and sharing the space with both familiar and first-time walkers. There’s something really special about watching the group slowly grow, step by step
Huge thank you to our volunteers who helped with setting up, leafleting, walking, and braving the windy conditions thank you to @bembecafe for hosting us in the Karibu Room for a cosy post-walk tea & coffee. They’ve got a brand new in-house chef and a new menu coming soon! definitely check out the sourdough chicken panini, salads, and fresh juices in the fridge next time you’re there.
This project was supported by the neighbourhood investment fund @manchestercitycouncil
Here’s to many more gentle steps.

50 weeks. Countless stories. One incredible community
Women from all walks of life, backgrounds, chapters, showing up every week and finding the same thing: each other. These pathways have held so much laughter, inspiration, and empowerment, one conversation at a time.
Here’s to us. We’re just getting started!

The zine workshop was a reminder that “home” can be layered, shifting, and deeply personal.
In a city like Manchester, shaped by so many communities, belonging isn’t one thing; it’s something we create together.
Maybe it’s where you plant seeds and stay long enough to watch them grow and flourish?
What does home mean to you?

Eid Mubarak! 🌙 If you’ve kept walking with us this month, well done , hope it’s been a blessed one. Enjoy your day and we’ll see you this weekend for the walk+zine workshop!
Ramadan In Young Moss Side 🌙 (PART 1 OF 4)
A glimpse into shared spaces, moments of reflection, and the new voices bringing Moss Side together.
Through portraits and conversations, this series tells the stories of young people growing up in the neighbourhood, exploring faith, identity, and belonging during Ramadan. Celebrating their creativity, resilience, and the vibrant spirit of the community.
By sharing these authentic experiences, we wanted to curate a project which shines a light on Moss Side beyond the stereotypes - showing a place overflowing with pride, culture, and connection.
