＼ベトナム拠点everyday studio、2期フェロー募集はじめました／ @everydaystudiosaigon . 去年からホーチミンで始めた「everyday studio」。場づくりを共に育んでくれる、第2期フェローの募集をスタートしました！ . everyday studioは、for Cities、studio anettai、合同会社廃屋の3組で立ち上げた、小さな拠点です。
アジアや熱帯地域の素材や暮らしの知恵を手がかりに、都市の日常をもっと心地よく、持続可能に、そして面白くできるかを考えながら、展示やワークショップ、リサーチなどを少しずつ重ねています。昨年は9組のメンバーが集まり現地でのワークショップやスタジオビジット、ツアーなども行いました。 . まだ完成された場所ではなくて、使いながら育てている途中のスタジオです。 . 第二期となる2026年度は、

・現地のクリエイターや学生が集まれる小さなライブラリーづくり

The 2026 theme is “Heights.” Beyond physical elevation, participants explore multiple forms of “heights,” developing urban research based on their own interests. While staying in Islamabad, participants conduct field research based on their own interests. The program also includes workshops, talks, and guided tours. 🌏for Cities Week 2026 is finally starting this weekend. In the midst of an increasingly complex global situation, this year’s program will be grounded in Islamabad and shaped primarily by our local collaborators in Pakistan. We’re grateful to be able to continue this platform through their knowledge, care, and commitment. Over the week, we’ll explore the theme “Heights” through a series of sessions and hands-on workshops that read the city from multiple perspectives: We’ll hear from architects and researchers like Ar. Hassan Daniyal, who approaches cities as living stories shaped through design and social relationships, and Amal Khurram, whose work examines urban food insecurity through governance, space, and infrastructure. Our workshops invite participants to engage directly with the city – Food Circulations: Mapping Urban Feeding Networks Tracing how cities are fed by mapping the journeys of food—from farms to markets to neighborhoods—revealing the spatial, political, and ecological systems behind everyday life. @zazaaland – Cultural Hierarchies: Reading the City A collaborative mapping exercise following field visits, unpacking the visible and invisible layers of urban life—from physical elevations to social and cultural structures. – Reimagining Signage: Visible and Invisible of the City An exploration of Islamabad’s visual language, from formal systems to informal signs, as a reflection of the city’s evolving identity. @tehzeebhassanwork Together, these sessions open up ways of seeing the city not just as form, but as a network of relationships, stories, and flows. Through research, teaching, and participatory design, she bridges academia and practice, working closely with communities and young professionals to imagine locally grounded, climate-responsive futures across Pakistan and beyond. Laajverd @laajverdofficial Laajverd is a research- and practice-based organisation working at the intersections of cultural geography, design, and the arts. For over a decade, they have collaborated with mountain communities to document and sustain cultural practices, while supporting local academics and heritage workers in ethical approaches to preservation. Their work spans policy-making, community museums, and research on fragile cultural landscapes under climate change. Tehzeeb Hassan (Visual Artist) @tehzeebhassanwork Tehzeeb Hassan is a visual artist based in Islamabad and Rawalpindi. Drawing from local art styles, street culture, and political expression, his work transforms everyday urban realities into bold visual narratives. Through public-facing and site-specific artworks, he explores questions of identity, power, and place within Pakistan’s evolving urban landscape.

"HERE-NESS" We led the concept and experience design for Pizza 4P’s Tran Ngoc Dien in District 2, Ho Chi Minh City. Through local research, we identified 10 local regenerative practices rooted in everyday life in Vietnam. These insights were translated into the spatial concept and customer experience of the restaurant. 🤝Collaborative Workshops We approached the restaurant not only as a place to eat, but as a field for environmental learning, and as part of this vision, we conducted collaborative workshops with local creators and researchers. More-than-Human Existence Workshop Developed with Câu-lạc-Bộ Cánh vảy (Lepidoptera Research), this workshop invited participants to slow down and shift attention beyond human-centered perspectives. Through close observation and field-note documentation, we explored ways of co-existing with insects, plants, and other forms of life. Everyday Adaptation Workshop In collaboration with Cécile Ngọc Sương Perdu (Lon Xon), Simon Phan (OHQUAO • Khô Mực Studio), and local participants, we conducted a hands-on workshop exploring adaptive design through everyday practices in Vietnam. Together with participants, we observed how materials, objects, and spaces are reused, repaired, and reinterpreted to respond to daily needs. The outcomes were documented and curated into a riso-printed booklet. After a year-long process, the restaurant is now open 🌱 The research outcomes are also presented in an exhibition space inside the restaurant. Starting today and running until January, we will be exhibiting at @anteroom_kyoto . We’re showcasing a collection of the urban intervention and observation kits we’ve been creating at @for_cities , along with music and video works produced using soundscapes we collected in 2022 from a certain neighborhood in Cairo, Egypt. The staff at Anteroom and the production team were absolutely amazing — we’re deeply grateful. A big thanks to our amazing intern @przbll too! She will be leading a workshop on 16th November.
