As we are nearing the last day of production I wanted to share our current B-Cam build with y’all!
Thanks a ton to the B team:
2nd AC: @lilly.nth (you are way above where should be given what’s on your resume. You were slaying it!!)
Operator and gimbal magician: @conne2k
Thanks also to @fabioseyding for his wisdom and incredibly funny stories.
(Mostly) Good times all around! I really enjoyed it! 😍
The obligatory shoutout to @focusbug_technologies for presenting me with a cheat code once again!
Rental @ludwigkamera Berlin
(Though the articulating arm of choice of course comes from @vantagefilmofficial - always with me on any set!)
A Cam build for the next feature. @vantagefilmofficial T ONEs were the DPs choice and I am very excited to use these beautiful lenses again.
We’ll be shooting on the good ol’ Alexa Mini - aka the workhorse.
Because a lof of you have asked me about the side plate: It’s really just printed, laminated and then velcroed to the side of the camera.
Pro tip: Put down paper tape under the velcro to avoid sticky residue when returning the camera.
I made the “safety chain” myself from stuff I got from Amazon. The idea was to have a safety that I can quickly adjust in length when switchting lenses.
The “shorty” BNC was made by @alexis.gouv.gworks who makes amazing cables!
The Teradek TX bracket is available over at @prisma.film and works great with the older Teradek systems before the 4K generation.
The @focusbug_technologies cine RT base unit is held up by a single 15mm rod clamp and a tiny magic arm - works very well for me.
The rain gear was probided by @d_schoenauer for us to test out on this project and so far it seems pretty amazing! I’ll keep you posted on this as well.
If you have any questions about the setup please ask them in the comments so everyone can see them along with the answers.
Stay sharp y’all!
Eastern Germany has a lot to offer…
Thanks again for @aleksandra_medianikova and @davogaiser for having me pulling on B-cam! 🙌🙌🙌
Good people, go and follow them!
Thanks also to @vantagefilmofficial for going out of their way to accommodate me in Leipzig.
And the obligatory shout to @focusbug_technologies for making my life easier on every project!
Love being a @focuspulleratwork
