A couple valuable days spent learning, training, and preparing for wildfire season. 🔥 Team FNMS is now certified in S-100 (Basic Fire Suppression & Safety) and S-185 (Fire Entrapment Avoidance). The hands-on training was especially valuable for reinforcing everything learned in the classroom. A big thank you to Bob and Tasha at @milehighresort for hosting, and to wildfire specialists Ryan and Sean from @FNESS.BC for sharing their knowledge and experience throughout the training. Stay safe out there this wildfire season. #wildfiresafety #firetraining #s100 #s185 #workplacesafety #teamtraining #fencenmore #wildfireseason #britishcolumbia #fencenmore #fencenmoresupplies

On this International Firefighters Day, we would like to take a moment to recognize all the firefighters who show up for their communities when they're needed the most, who train hard to keep their skills sharpened, who volunteer without question, and who never let anything get in their way when it comes to protecting their community. We would also like to recognize all the retired firefighters who pass their knowledge on to the younger generation and who help inspire our youth to follow in their footsteps. And finally, to those firefighters who have passed on — even though you're no longer with us, we carry your memory in our hearts. #internationalfirefightersday

Our clients become part of the We Make Stuff Happen family and we become their cheerleaders even after the project is done. @fnessbc is no exception. With the support of the First Nation Leadership Council, FNESS is the organization that communities reach out to for support and delivery of essential emergency and forest fuel management programs and services. They understand that their website is their top marketing tool, and we love how his site design turned out. Are you ready to turn your website into your best salesperson? Comment "COFFEE" to learn how we can help.

🚒 Great work Students! 🔥 What an incredible turnout at our Indigenous Youth Firefighter Bootcamp! This 3-day hands-on adventure gave youth an unforgettable experience + real-world skills in structural and wildland firefighting. Shoutout to all our trainers, and to our amazing mentees from the Indigenous Firefighter Training program who passed down knowledge and proved a career in firefighting is within reach. A HUGE thank you to our partners: @access.futures , Vancouver School Board's "Horizon's Program", @vanfirerescue , and every student who showed up and dove in. You are WHY we do this. Inspiring the next generation of firefighters—one bootcamp at a time! 💪❤️ #IndigenousYouth #FutureFirefighters

Year-round fire resilience starts with education and hands-on practice. That’s why, on Seabird Island, students learned about FireSmart principles to support their “learning on the land” initiatives. By showcasing small steps that can be taken in their community, each student can purposefully take action to support it. Watch to see how simple actions add up on Seabird Island.
