What a MEMorable day! ✈️💙 Today, we hosted our second annual Flying Together event, designed to provide a unique opportunity to support individuals and families with special needs.
From getting boarding passes, navigating TSA checkpoint and finding the right gate to stepping onto an actual plane, our participants built the confidence they need to hit the runway!

From the Memphis International Airport to the Dixon Gallery and Gardens, these Mary Sims paintings are on view now through June 7. Originally commissioned by Memphis in May International Festival for their 1981 and 1996 festival posters, many Memphians and visitors to the Bluff City have seen these paintings during their travels thanks to a collaboration between the Memphis-Shelby County Airport Authority and the Urban Art Commission that placed the work of local artists in the beautifully modernized Concourse B.

🌎 MEM's First-Ever Sustainability Fair Was a Success! 🌱

Last week, in honor of Earth Day, we hosted our very first Sustainability Fair at our Mission Support Center! Maintenance crews and admin staff came together over lunch to learn, connect, and take meaningful steps toward a greener MEM.
In keeping with the spirit of Earth Day, we set out to make this a zero-waste event. Lunch, Napkin, and scraps was composted, sorted, or recycled on-site. ♻️

A huge thank you to our incredible vendors who made it all possible:
🌿 The Compost Fairy & Nonconnah Creek Restoration Project – showing us how composting at home is easier than you think
💡 MLGW – sharing energy-saving tips and residential solar info (plus great employee giveaways!)

🔄 Get Green Recycleworks – helping smaller organizations find recycling solutions that fit
