Not pretty, but l’ll take it so early in the season. Thanks to @marcus_brown_ for encouraging me to embrace speeding to centerline (as well as many other great coaching tips), @jenlabaw for the fantastic workouts and delicious meals and everyone there for the friendship and laughs. Last morning set of the season.
Grateful for everything skiing has given me this year, and for the great times out on the water with Campbell and Julie.
2°C this morning 🥶Cold, but a great way to close it out.
When it feels like summer, time to get behind the boat and start shortening the rope! With 90° weather the next two days, I may be in a shorty wetsuit by the end of the week. #waterskiing @flowpointmethod

Sometimes it’s good to extend yourself. Not in the “overstretched/overwhelmed” way, but in the mobile/stable way.
During a lot of things we do in the gym, we work on having a neutral spine. Which is important under heavy load for safety.
AND…
A healthy spine can flex and extend and rotate. A “Superman Row Hold” is a solid way to test/strengthen spinal extension.
Cues:
- lay on stomach with feet together and fists by sides
- squeeze knees toward each other, shoulder blades toward each other and elbows toward each other
- hold that positions and lift body off floor
Give it a shot.. can you hold it for 30sec.. 45sec… 1min? Can you hold it with weight in hands?
