Transa’s spiral is nearing the end of a typical marketing run, and the Grammys feel like a closing chapter—though I know the work will live forever. We never started with awards in mind, so I’m grateful for any recognition, but the album and the community behind it deserve even more flowers. I believe it will only grow in importance with time: a blueprint for our shared humanity. If you haven’t listened to it yet, the music is waiting for you.

GRAMMY voting begins tomorrow, 10.3 🐐 We designed TRANSA the album to be undeniably epic in scope so that any recognition for the project would lift the 100+ artists held together in this expanse of 46 tracks in 8 chapters — some of the most influential artists of our time. The music industry benefits unendingly from trans artists’ ideas and presence. It’s the season for giving flowers! We’re excited for more listeners to bond with TRANSA during the process of GRAMMY voting; we’re also hopeful to see some nominations that would carry the message of TRANSA — to love without limits, to experience liberation in the frequencies of transness which extend beyond identity. another 2024 milestone, a character building roadtrip into the durango mountains of mexico to find a rock garden at 10,000 ft in order to properly witness the total solar eclipse for nearly 5 minutes we crammed 6 of us and our backpacking gear in a small SUV and put 25+ road hours round trip all while I was fighting severe food poisoning — 😅🫨 initially billed as a 40th bday celebration for me also qualified as a bachelorette party as I was married less than 2 weeks later a primal event that has me thinking about how to get to the next eclipse photos by will, anne & jamal
