I’m so thankful for the people who help fill my cup so that I can pour back into others. Whether it’s seeing my mom after a long day, going out with my girlfriends, or traveling the country with my team — it’s the small ways we show up for each other every day that make the biggest impact.

⭐️ Ohio @besmartforkids volunteers tabled at a Fishing with Dad event, where they shared the importance of secure firearm storage with families in their community.
⭐️ @sc_momsdemandaction volunteers and survivors marched in a local parade for those who have had their loved ones stolen by gun violence.
⭐️ @va_momsdemandaction volunteers came together to pack bags of supplies for the Hunger Response Team of Sterling.
⭐️ @nv_momsdemandaction volunteers kicked off this election season by tabling at a candidate forum for Clark County Commissioner.
⭐️ @nc_momsdemandaction volunteers attended the Charlotte City Council 2026 Budget Hearing to support violence prevention programs.
⭐️ @ks_momsdemandaction volunteers held a #WearOrange themed poster party this week to carry in their Pride Parade during Wear Orange Weekend.
VIRGINIA DID IT! Governor @abigailspanberger signed over 20 gun safety bills into law — including a ban on the sale of assault weapons and high capacity magazines, critical protections for domestic violence survivors, and measures to hold the gun industry accountable.
This historic victory wouldn’t be possible without the fierce advocacy of Virginia @momsdemand volunteers, whose tireless work will undoubtedly save lives!
Last week, I was honored to join public officials, advocates, and filmmakers for a @milkeninstitute panel on how to prevent gun violence and strengthen community safety.
Together, as parents, students, gun owners, doctors, teachers, law enforcement officers, and people across the political spectrum, we can build on our progress and work towards a future that’s free from gun violence.
Four years ago today, a white supremacist armed with an AR-15-style rifle walked into Tops Friendly Markets in Buffalo, New York, and killed ten Black people while they shopped for groceries.
There was one shooter, he didn’t act alone. He was empowered by a system that turns a blind eye to white supremacy and arms anyone, with no questions asked. We honor those who were killed in Buffalo with action because we all deserve to be safe in our supermarkets, schools, churches, and communities.
Just like the color orange, gun violence can’t be ignored. On June 5, National Gun Violence Awareness Day, we’ll shine a light on this preventable crisis by wearing orange. 🧡

As mothers, we pour everything we have into our children.
We endure sleepless nights and endless days. We agonize over which bottle to use and how to get them to eat a vegetable. We sit through long division, Little League practice, and elementary school orchestra recitals. We worry, we love, we hope, and we pray.
Still, sometimes it feels like all of that isn’t enough because anywhere our babies go, at any time, their lives can be snuffed out by a bullet. That is why leading @momsdemand is a calling for me and so many of us in this movement. We're here because we have no other choice.
So to all the @momsdemand moms this #MothersDay, thank you. Thank you for showing up, in the good times and the bad ones, to fight endlessly for the futures of ALL our children. 💐🧡
Every day, I think about the two most important lessons my mother and grandmother taught me: to show up in the world, and to fight for everyone.
Regardless of how much they had, they were always giving to others. By simply being present in our community, they opened up my eyes not only to injustice and the ways people struggle — but also to the power each of us has to step up and help.
They’re the reason I’m a part of this movement, and why leading @momsdemand means so much to me. As my mom always says, we’re not okay unless everyone is okay.

⭐️ Missouri @besmartforkids volunteers tabled at Art Fest where they shared the importance of secure storage with families in the community.
⭐️ California @besmartforkids volunteers tabled at the Empowering YOUth Family Festival where they gave away over 100 gun locks.
⭐️ @ia_momsdemandaction volunteers took to the streets to participate in @namicommunicate ’s NAMIWalks for #MentalHealthAwarenessMonth.
⭐️ @il_momsdemandaction volunteers took advantage of April recess by meeting with Representative @theresamah about their priority legislation to stop DIY machine guns. She even agreed to co-sponsor the bill!
⭐️@mo_momsdemandaction volunteers continued their #GOTV efforts by knocking on doors for Gun Sense Candidates.
Machine guns are illegal for a reason. But right now, people are getting around the law and turning handguns into machine guns simply by attaching a small device, known as a switch. That’s unacceptable.
No parent should have to worry about a weapon capable of firing dozens of rounds in seconds in their community. That’s why lawmakers in Connecticut, Illinois, Maryland, and New York are taking action to ban them this session.
Three years ago today, a white supremacist opened fire with an AR-style rifle, equipped with a high-capacity magazine at the Allen Premium Outlets shopping mall in Allen, Texas. Eight people were killed — three of them children — and seven others were wounded.
We hold those whose lives were stolen or forever changed that day in Allen, Texas in our hearts. We continue our work to #DisarmHate and #EndGunViolence in their honor.
