Today, House Bill 393 passed the House for a second time with a vote of 78-0. The bill was back in the House for a concurrence voter after an amendment to include halfway houses was added in the Senate. House Bill 393 now heads to the Governor's desk to be signed into law.

Today we were thrilled to announce our partnership with the Cleveland Public Libraries, the Cuyahoga County Office of Violence Prevention and State Representative Darnell Brewer, to provide gun safes and gun locks at select Cleveland library branches. Together, we can curb the epidemic of gun violence in our community.
Today, Rep. Brewer joined Cleveland Public Library, the Cuyahoga County Office of Violence Prevention, and The Academy of Medicine of Cleveland and Northern Ohio (AMCNO) in announcing a collaborative effort to bring free safe gun storage devices to select library branches. The yearlong pilot program will provide free gun locks and safes to Cleveland Public Library’s Lorain, Rice, and Glenville campuses. Safe storage items will be available for all residents as long as materials last.
