It was awesome to work on Netflix House! Here’s pictures of some of the work we did: we helped install these large props and flats in the atrium and restaurant (made by F&D Scene Changes in Calgary), plus some painting, and vinyl finish work. Morgan also assisted with aging painting in the Stranger Things: Escape the Dark experience. Eric assisted F&D with electrical work on the props in the atrium. It was cool to see it being built behind the scenes, and we recommend going to check it out. I’ll put together more of a Reel soon 😋 @netflix@netflixhouse@fdscenechanges

Two of the three new Stampede Park entry art features have been completed! The Buffalo and The Horse now proudly stand at the North and South entrances, enhancing the sense of arrival to the BMO Centre, Stampede Park, and the Culture + Entertainment District—just in time for our annual festival in July.
Created by artist Jason Carter and inspired by the concept of the ‘herd’, these pieces "figuratively embody the Calgary Stampede’s Western heritage and sense of gathering, while more literally capturing the Stampede's celebration of agriculture, Western events, and cultures.

Today, the Calgary Stampede proudly unveiled designs for three new Stampede Park entry art features — The Buffalo, The Horse, and The Bull — which will be installed at Stampede's main entrances: Stampede Trail (north), Erlton (south), and 17 Ave/Flores LaDue Parade (west).
Fabricated by Calgary's F&D Scene Changes and featuring artwork by Jason Carter, a renowned public artist, these sculptures symbolize the Stampede's past, present, and future. Carter shared, "I was inspired by the concept of the ‘herd’ and selected these animals, which I felt figuratively embodied the Calgary Stampede’s Western heritage and sense of gathering, while more literally capturing the Stampede’s celebration of agriculture, Western events, and cultures."
These entry features will enhance the sense of arrival to the BMO Centre, Stampede Park, and the Culture + Entertainment District, adding vibrancy to the surrounding southeast downtown community. They will also join the 14 other pieces in the Stampede’s public art collection, curated by the dedicated volunteers of the Public Art Committee. We look forward to unveiling these larger-than-life sculptures in June 2025, welcoming guests from near and far to Stampede Park.
