His Live & DJ sets lean heavily into the generation of hypnotic loops, creating long protracted transitions between elements to form unshakeable tension. Whether it’s an all hardware setup or the combination of four decks and effects, his 25 years of experience is primed to push audiences of all sizes into new territory. Since his live debut at Detroit’s Movement Festival in 2022, DILLINGER has continued to evolve his sound across a series of standout performances, culminating in a Live + DJ hybrid set at Movement 2024. His international appearances include shows in Berlin, London, and Toronto, as well as performances presented through art-driven collaborations with Detroit-based collectives and curators such as Imbue, 313_030 Projekt, Missing Faces, and The House of Tarot. These projects have pushed the boundaries of traditional club environments, merging his sound with immersive installations and multi-sensory experiences. 2024 also marked the launch of his own imprint, Control Data Institute, co-founded with Dutch artist Lloyd Stellar. The debut release, Welcome to the Institute, featured a VA compilation, a secret EP, and an exclusive modular sample pack, all of which sold out in under 24 hours. DILLINGER also hosted MINDFRAME, a monthly residency on Detroit’s Deep Space Radio featuring guest performances from across the global electro scene. After 18 episodes, he stepped away from the show to focus on his label, studio work, and a growing slate of immersive projects. Tarot cards have been in play since the early 15th century, this period was characterized by a belief in the magical power of images. Only 10-20% of the world population could read written texts during this time period, so art and storytelling was the way of communicating with the masses. I have been working on my own set of images coinciding with the traditional 78 card tarot deck can you guess which cards they relate too? Inspired by the upcoming group show @the.houseoftarot coming to fruition next month showcasing 22 artists with immersive installations showcased throughout four floors of an Albert Khan designed building here in Detroit. We are having a fundraiser party next weekend March 29th @northernlightsdetroit (see last slide) with music, vendors, art, and tarot readings!
