Our label is proud to unveil “Where The Black Sand Burns”! A new original motion picture soundtrack by @jrdnplrss that pushes further into an experimental, ambient‑driven sound world, and moving gracefully from quiet, introspective moments to expansive, cinematic climaxes.
“Where The Black Sand Burns” is a 20‑minute short film directed by @loreloyens . It premiered in February 2025 and won “Best Film” at Filmfestival Oostende.
The soundtrack is a journey through sound and cinema—acting as a third main protagonist, “the Volcano”, that is always present throughout the film. Rousseau weaves low volcanic drones into the ethereal score moving from ambient experimentation and atmospheric cues to a vibrant finale bursting with alternative rock, shoegaze, post‑rock, and psychedelic energy. Across these lush, layered textures, Jordan Paul Rousseau shapes a score that stands on its own: a cinematic listening experience that invites you to step into the film’s world, even with your eyes closed.

Today, we present a film score for a Belgian intimate road‑movie short directed by Lore Loyens — a story about friendship, love, and loss, exploring the struggle between holding on and letting go — a film and score traveling through festivals like Cannes Short Film Corner and Go Short in the Netherlands.
The original score for « Between Day & Dawn » will be released on April 10 on our label, marking the first in a series of upcoming releases with Jordan Paul Rousseau.
