Honored and deeply grateful to see Fake Lines: Sono Levant reviewed by Songlines Magazine, with a powerful write-up by Paul Bowler.

The review highlights the compilation as a vital snapshot of the Levant’s alternative music scene, bringing together artists from the region and its diaspora, while recognizing the political urgency, sonic diversity, and spirit of resistance running through its 36 tracks. From Joy Moughanni’s downtempo electronics, to Autostrad’s reggae-inflected protest, Rayess Bek’s sharp synth-pop, and Zeid Hamdan’s explosive fusion of folk, hip-hop, and dabke, the album is described as “vital music for a vital cause.”
For us, this recognition means a lot. Not just as a musical milestone, but as confirmation that the intention behind this project, supporting the Arab Group for the Protection of Nature and their work to revive Gaza’s farmlands, is being heard beyond borders.
Thank you to every artist, collaborator, and listener who made this possible
