📍Honolulu [Orchids - Halekulani]
gorgeous spot for a sunset dinner. view is definitely the highlight, but be prepared for a LOT of bugs because of the location 😭 food-wise, everything was fine but very pricey (to be expected from honolulu & hotel dining).
appetizers were all not memorable and the seafood was mediocre for a seaside restaurant. standouts were the lasagnette and the tenderloin filet with foie gras!! recommend ordering both 😋 to end, signature coconut cake is a must!! so moist, light, and the best part of the meal.
💕 yellow fin ahi tartare $32
💕 burrata cheese $28
💕 hamachi $31
💕 sea urchin tagliolini $54
💕 lasagnette $51*
💕 tenderloin filet $76*
💕 hapu’upu’u $52
💕 signature coconut cake $16*

Dreamy Cookie Cream Tart in Castro Valley 🦋@alwaysyoursbakerycafe
I preordered a “MOM” Cookie Cream Tart for our Mother’s Day celebration. The owner replied super quickly and still tried her best to fit my order in even though they were already fully booked, which I really appreciated.
Now back to the tart itself. The soft pink color, edible pearls, and butterfly decorations made it look absolutely adorable and extra special for Mother’s Day. I honestly thought I was mostly paying for the looks, but it actually turned out to be so delicious too.
When I went to pick it up, I also noticed they have indoor dining and boba drinks available. The space is super cute and perfect if you want to sit down, grab a drink, and take some pretty photos with your dessert.

First time dining alone, and it was sooo worth it! I was able to snag this counter reservation at @rest_quintonil last weeek and it was delicious! Love that they offered a vegetarian tasting menu! The service was amazing and it was wonderful to see behind the counter! Highly recommend in Mexico City! 🍴

New kaiseki in Los Angeles!
@sudachi.la just opened from the team behind @sushiyuzu.kabosu , and it is already one to watch.
We enjoyed every moment of this multi-course meal from the assortment of appetizers, to the dashi broth, to assorted sashimi, to grilled miso-zuke salmon, all the way to a nigiri lineup we knew would be good. We have been fans of this team for a long time, so seeing them expand into something like this feels exciting.

Michelin Bib Gourmand Spot in San Leandro 😋 @tophatterskitchen
How lucky to find two standout restaurants in San Leandro back to back and this one even carries a Michelin Bib Gourmand. I went in expecting Californian cuisine, yet it actually blends Vietnamese influences. The fusion really lifts the flavors and makes it feel unique, not something you easily find elsewhere.
Everything we ordered was delicious and beautifully presented. I’ve seen mixed comments about the service, but maybe because we went on a weekday, it felt warm and welcoming. The only downside was that the cocktails were a bit steep, so I went with white wine instead.
Overall, it was a very enjoyable dining experience and definitely worth a visit.
