This documentation outlines how we created the VR Booth at @EVA.identity Exhibition, invoking nostalgia about VR technology. During the expo, some visitors asked me why I chose a VR Booth instead of VR Glasses. I believe it’s fun to showcase the technology in its simplest yet enjoyable form. It makes us feel a sense of novelty in how we interact with virtual space in a very old-fashioned way. Visitors, especially kids, seem to have a lot of fun with this old tech. Building on @gydient ’s EVA type system, Lab designers @marchsecondninetynine @hvn_is_hr @tranhoangphucthinh created the graphic design for a physical and virtual exhibition. The graphic design needed to work in print, animation, physical and virtual environments—and convey a sense of mystery, discovery, and forced perspectives. We don't know where to start to thank everyone who helped made this possible, so we'll start at the beginning. EVA started as a research project about Virtual Identity, Presentation, and Privacy by Tra Giang (@gydient ). Then, Gydient brought on Tuan Le (@bluefintuna.le ) to help turn into an exhibition and co-direct it. Along the way, we counted on the support of designers and teams from @thelabsaigon , producers from @ltlt.company , volunteers from @hidden_archive , and friends from Vietnam and abroad. EVA wouldn't have been possible without 10 exhibiting and 3 participating artists.
