2025: personally-monumental year of working closely and often (first solo show, a new ballet, documentary producing, film directing). Of intimate collaboration with old and new friends near and far. Of inner-shifts. Of lots of laughter! 2025 was a year I really pushed to fill with projects that would stretch me across many disciplines/mediums ~ even if that meant self-producing. The year thus called upon corners of my curiosity that had long been waiting to be exercised. I felt a renewed ability and desire to engage with longer projects and to STAY with the work. Even on days that were hard, I was able to live inside of my devotion for the craft and for the people who make up my world. I am proud. I am grateful. My hands are open. 2026: let’s begin! Out of order 1. January: Residency at the Oslo Opera House with @brahmachicken @hiroki.ich @guillaume_ferran for the years projects 2. February: James Turrell moment with @courtnipoe in New York 3. Learnt Rosas by @rosasdance . Enjoyed it very much. Hope to work with ATDK in the future. 4. February/March: Created my first Solo Show “All My Solos Were Prayers” for @lafayetteanticipations . I hope to soon perform further iterations of this piece. I also hope to create a new solo work in 2026. 5. April/May: Reaidency at @emkadanceproject for @ja_collective 6. June: “elephant” in Tblisi, Georgia with @kammerballetten 8. July: “elephant” at @saintsauveur with @remy_feldbruegge 9. August: Location scout and tests for “A Very Crooked Bridge” 10. September: performed at Paris Fashion week with @justin.dejager

This weekend, 21 December we celebrate our first premiere of the season with the triple bill WAVES AND CIRCLES. 💫 As part of the evening, you can look forward to MEGAHERTZ, a brand-new creation by Emma Portner, created for seven dancers of the company. The piece powerfully interprets Paddy McAloon’s poignant track „I Trawl the Megahertz“—a work built from fragments of radio conversations woven into an orchestral motif, telling a story of a life, of memories, and of time passing.
