It is an incredible honor to have been chosen by the
@cooperhewitt as a 2025 National Design Award Winner in the category of digital design for my 16 year long endeavor with
@emergingobjects inventing materials, hardware, software, and processes for #addittivemanufacturing / #3dprinting .
Emerging Objects has had an incredible group of collaborators over the years, many young talented employees coming from Berkeley, San Jose State University and other schools across the country. We thank them for their contributions to making the work possible.
2025 marked the 25th anniversary of the awards, which were established in 2000 as a project of the White House Millennium Council and bring national recognition to the ways in which design enriches everyday life.
The festivities included an awards ceremony, surprise performances by “Making Home—Smithsonian Design Triennial” participant Davóne Tines (
@alsoanoperasinger ), and music by
@razorntape . But, most importantly, the evening honored this year’s winners and their exceptional contributions to design:
