Thank you @itvnews for interviewing me and featuring my latest project: Art and Sculpture Trail: the ‘Follow Your Senses’ Trail! ❤️🧡💛💚💙🖤 This project was a labour of love, 6 months in the making with a further 1 year of community workshops preceding it so I’m so excited to see the interest it’s gaining ❤️ Which sculpture is your favourite? 💛 ‘Follow Your Senses Trail’ A project commissioned by @ecoworld_london and @poplar.harca as part of the Aberfeldy Creates Series. Featuring Ellen Rock signature prints transformed and designed into vivid painterly sculptures thoughtfully placed around the Aberfeldy area and estate. The trail is navigated by a hand-illustrated map and explores the various senses of ‘Listen, Play’, ‘Look’ and ‘Touch’ (The shock as this came on in the coffee shop we were in was real) ☕️ Enjoy a soaked me on the sunshine bench in true April Showers style ☔️☀️☀️☀️ #ellenrockstudio

Hello Everyone! Really happy to share the ‘Follow Your Senses’ community Art and Sculpture Trail I’ve been working on for quite a few months in the making 👀 Titled ‘FOLLOW YOUR SENSES’ the trail is open to all, and you can pick up a hand-illustrated map at @theworkscafeldn in Poplar Works to follow and find the sculptures! Commissioned by @ecoworld_london and @poplar.harca ‘It’s been an incredible honour to design these sculptures into an immersive scale which brings my drawings and community work to life. The embedded concept of the trail is to ‘Follow Your Senses’ encouraging togetherness and a sense of being present in our surroundings. Anybody is welcome to ‘Look, Play and Listen’ and I wanted the work to provoke joy and play as a universal language that can be understood and enjoyed by all, rooted in collective voice’ ER The work follows my earlier community projects over the last 2 years delivered in collaboration with @making.for.change within the Aberfeldy Community Centre and Aberfeldy Street. I’m so excited to see my symbols and shapes come to life in the following sculptures: ‘HOLD MY HAND’ ✋A giant pink hand situated outside @poplarworks studio building ‘ THE TREE of LOVE’ 💖 A large tree sculpture with Ellen Rock symbols as branches on East India Green ‘ THE SUNSHINE BENCH’ ☀️A community bench situated near fountains for a still space of meditation. A special shout to @cutonline for going above and beyond to realise my vision and having me be a real part of the production process 💥 A special thank you to: @domikriss for assisting on the 3-D rendering @sgthreads__ for capturing the reel and content @anniesimps for Project Consultation Eleanor Matheison - Producer And @ecoworld_london and @poplar.harca for having me as the commissioned artist on board the project 💫 @making.for.change for the ongoing community projects ❤️ I’ll be posting the individual stories of each Sculpture over the next few weeks so stay tuned 💛 #ellenrockstudio #arttrail #architecture #aberfeldystreet #colour #joy #community #publicart #installation #sculpture #design

Thankyou to #TheLabE20 for having my textile installation and garments as part of the ‘What’s in My Home?’ exhibition. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Running from Feb-Aug 2023, The exhibition will tell the story of the material journey from our kitchen and interiors, to our wardrobes to our gardens to the material innovation happening right here in labs across London to deliver a new low environmental impact textiles story for the way we dress, style our homes and build our cities. In amazing company with other creatives, thinkers and brands challenging the norm and ‘designing for disassembly’… As an artist in residence I’ll be working on programming some exciting workshops and activations so stay tuned for how to get involved 👀 My works featured are large scale textile prints titled ‘Dream Big’ and ‘Hand Picked’ which explore print as a universal language of daily cycles in the home, created whilst on residency in Nepal with the amazing @jwdcnepal ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Curated by Yasmin Jones-Henry (@yasminrjh ), Amanda Johnston & Tamsin Blanchard (@tamsinblanchard ) ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Produced by RAEBURN (@raeburn_design ) & Young Craft Citizens (Crafts Council @craftscouncil ) ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Supported by: Get Living (@wearegetliving ) ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Cultural Partners: @craftscouncil Young Craft Citizens @thesustainableangle @royalcollegeofart Textiles Circularity Centre @_colechi Programme partners: @d_lab_studios @grimshaw.foundation @estethica_fashion @project.rego @lcflondon_ @fash_rev @trashclubhub @britishcouncil @ellenrockstudio @c.q.studio Media partner: @holeandcorner 📸 @_alex_fleming_ #culture #doinitfortheculture #climateaction #regenerativebydesign #whatsinmyhome #fashion #print #impact #design
