Post 1 - The @_kolbecatholiccollege Gym Hall and Sports Arena involved the masterplanning, design and delivery of a major new sporting facility within an operational school campus. Replacing outdated hardcourts and an undersized gymnasium, the project delivered a contemporary double-court arena with durable, high-use amenities designed to support a growing school community. Delivered as part of a broader staged redevelopment, the project strengthened campus connections, improved circulation and enhanced links between learning areas and sporting precincts. The facility includes multi-purpose courts for basketball, netball, badminton and assemblies, alongside changerooms, a fitness centre, PE office, commercial kitchen and canteen, and connected outdoor gathering spaces. Designed around intuitive movement, operational efficiency and long-term durability, the project creates an active and connected hub for school life. See post 2 for more photos... Progress taking form. The Dr Pamela Wall Centre, a state-of-the-art multi-purpose theatre and gymnasium for St Peter's Woodlands Grammar School, South Australia. Carefully nestled between existing buildings, the design respectfully replaces Baddams Hall while honouring the Nutter Thomas Building and the heritage-listed Law Smith Building, introducing a meaningful cross-campus connection. Informed by Ron Ritchhart’s Making Thinking Visible, the project’s architecture celebrates learning as a shared, visible experience - where performance, reflection, sport, and participation take centre stage - creating a dynamic new hub for culture, sport, and community life. Thank you @cookbuilding for sharing these photos.

@hbfrun is quickly approaching and we're proud to be taking part again! This year, we’re supporting @parkerville.cyc and their wonderful new school - Parkerville Grove School. Parkerville Grove School is designed for children who have experienced significant trauma, offering a highly supported, therapeutic learning environment tailored to their individual needs. The school integrates education with wellbeing and clinical care, helping students feel safe, build confidence, and gradually reconnect with learning in a way that works for them. This kind of support has the potential to change the trajectory of young lives, creating opportunities for stability, growth, and a more positive future. If you can, please DONATE and support this wonderful project and our team via the link in our bio.

The wonderful team at @parkerville.cyc have been working tirelessly on a very exciting project – Parkerville Grove School, a new specialised CARE (Curriculum and Re-engagement in Education) school, and the first of its kind in Western Australia for children and families facing the impacts of trauma. EIW Architects has the honour of working alongside @mccorkell_constructions_wa on the refurbishment of nine heritage-listed cottages that go back over a century in Parkerville, Western Australia. On Friday night, our EIW project team had the pleasure of joining Parkerville at their Gala event held at Fraser’s Kings Park themed - “There’s No Place Like Home,” inspired by The Wizard of Oz. They raised over $400,000 and it was a pleasure to be there and support them. Click the link on our bio for more information on the project and how you can also show your support. @eiwarchitects , @armarchitecture and the consultant team have worked assiduously over the past 12 months in developing the design for the new East Perth Primary School. Schematic design was completed end of 2025 with Design Development scheduled for completion end of February 2026. There has been significant consultation and collaboration between the design team, Department of Education, DHW, Development WA and other agencies such as DMTI, Main Roads and City of Perth. Key design elements of the first vertical primary school in WA include: > Landscape design by @udlastudio that not only enhances the site with new soft landscaping, but also retains and incorporates four existing significant trees > Central ‘Heart’ that encourages play and learning >Artwork that encourages interaction by students, with imagery incorporated into the building fabric >Enhances streetscape and community amenity, with shared use of oval, hardcourts >Appropriately scaled entries, pathways and learning spaces to the primary school age demographic @cpb_contractors have been engaged as ECI contractors and have been consulting with the design team, including commencing Forward Works on the site. This exciting project is on target for completion for the 2029 school year. We look forward to sharing more soon! #educationdesign #architect #pertharchitect #eastperthprimaryschool

The refurbishment of the Senior Administration Building at @guildford_grammar_school is now complete and officially open for 2026. The space is now light-filled and uplifting, thoughtfully designed to inspire staff in their day-to-day work. A carefully balanced mix of old and new celebrates the building’s character while providing a contemporary, functional environment. The result is an inviting administration space for visitors and students, as well as a professional workplace that supports both collaboration, focus and flexibility for small staff events. A few photos from the recent peer-to-peer interactive workshop held at @nischinaorg - hosted by Peersphere. Chloe and Phil led the keynote sharing how values-led, inclusive design - when paired with patience and belief - can create learning environments that evolve beyond expectations and actively shape future learners, not just current students.
