It's official! On October 18th, the groundbreaking ceremony took place to kick off the construction of the Neil Donaldson Pavilion.
We were thrilled to have The University of Western Australia and University Football Club (UFC) join us in commemorating this momentous occasion. The construction of this new two-storey pavilion will enhance the UFC's facilities for future utilisation and rejuvenate the UWA Sports Park precinct, bringing benefits to the wider community.

MEET THE TEAM 👋 Aaron Clarke – Site Manager
Aaron is a highly seasoned and devoted Site Manager with an impressive 23-year track record in both residential and commercial construction. Holding qualifications as a carpenter and joiner, he brings a wealth of knowledge in construction methods and project programming to the table. Aaron's expertise enables him to efficiently handle multiple tasks while proactively identifying potential challenges before they arise. Aaron’s approachable nature and good communication skills allow him to liaise with all project personnel, including subcontractors, client representatives, and stakeholders.
When he’s not at work, Aaron enjoys a wide range of outdoor activities, like camping, diving, fishing, and barbecuing. Between camping adventures, he is a devoted Bluey fan and never skips an episode with his two young kids.

COMPLETED PROJECT: Parry Street Conservation Works (93, 95, 109, 139, 141, 147 & 149 Parry Street, Perth)
Western Projects, in conjunction with the Department of Planning, Lands and Heritage, on behalf of the Department of Communities, coordinated the conservation works to seven vacant cottages in Perth's Parry Street Precinct.
The precinct is recognised on the State Register of Heritage Places for its cultural significance as a rare example of a relatively intact streetscape of late nineteenth century and early to mid-twentieth century buildings. The area reflects the expansion of residential development on the city fringes, driven by the population boom that was generated by the 1890s gold rush.
The scope of building works varied from house to house, but generally included: Urgent structural work, including repairs to verandahs. Reinstatement of missing and deteriorated brickwork. Refurbishment of doors, windows, floors, and ceilings. Strengthening of roof structure and chimneys, removal of acrylic paint to front facades, and tuckpointing repairs. New roof sheeting and new ceilings. Removal of vinyl and carpets, repairs to floorboards, sand, and oil finish. Kitchen, bathroom, laundry fit out, and internal painting throughout.

MEET THE TEAM 👋 Shane Higgs – Senior Estimator
Shane is a registered building practitioner with 25 years of experience within the construction industry. Having commenced with Western Projects in 2017, Shane has proven to be an extremely valuable member of the team with a background in Supervision, Site Management, Construction Management, Contracts Administration and Construction Estimating.
Shane is our most experienced estimator and has long-standing relationships with some of our key subcontractors. Being a registered builder and running his own successful building company for 10 years, he is in the details backed by a wealth of knowledge and experience to price any project that crosses his desk.
In his free time, Shane is kept busy with 5 kids, enjoys 4WDing, and is currently renovating his new home.
