A few things lately:
1 - I was a podcast guest for the first time with
@lauradowlingexperience @thefabulouspharmacist talking many things from body confidence and reframing that conversation, to my career, love of classic movies and costume, and more. Thank you Laura - your fabulousness goes far beyond the pharmacy ❤️ And thank you
@iamrosscapsule for the introduction and the masterminding ❤️
2 - my much annotated (with post it notes as I hate marking books) review copy of
@katiepiper_ ‘s new book Still Beautiful. A moving and thought provoking readd on aging, women and more. (Review link in stories). Thank you
@ciaradossett_
3 - Saw Fred Astaire’s shoes (and much much more besides but back to that love of old movies)
@wiltonhousepmh .The Crown and Bridgerton were both filmed here, to name but two of many productions. The house was built in 1647 in the Palladian style by Inigo Jones and John Webb. Gardens also glorious and a charming tea room. Also a very good gift shop!
4 - wrote about chicken sitting for
@thetimes . These are imost of) my chicken charges - so full of personality and fascinating to observe.
5 - then was a guest on
@timesradio with
@ed_vaizey talking about said chickens and chicken sitting as the new dog sitting
.
6 - took my French Lover
@fredericmalle to Florence. I seem to be entering a very green period with perfumes.It’s classified as a men’s fragrance but who cares. It’s an enticing mix of spicy freshness and woody-noted sexiness that’s all elegant va-va-voominess- like a bit of testosterone added to your HrT.
.
7 & 8 the pop-up Bourdon Street Chippy - with food and decor all in felt by Lucy Sparrow
@sewyoursoul and supported in research by
@cornishsea_salt .The attention to detail is brilliant - the food and the celeb pix on the wall and messages on the notice board. On until 14 September. (More on stories)
.
9 - a picnic post my first ever swim in the Women’s pond on Hampstead Heath - more to come on Substack shortly.
@alexfriendwritesbeauty @humeara
10 - Rosamund Pike in Inter Alia. As brilliant as you’ve heard it is.
