European Cultural Centre Italy announces the theme and visual identity of #PersonalStructures2026🔹 Confluences is the theme of the 8th edition of the international contemporary art exhibition organised biennially by ECC Italy. Taking place in Venice from 9 May to 22 November 2026, the exhibition will be hosted at Palazzo Bembo, Palazzo Mora and the Marinaressa Gardens, featuring 150+ artists from over 30 countries. Personal Structures – Confluences focuses on points of encounter, where artistic practices, cultures and disciplines meet and evolve, connecting personal narratives with collective perspectives. As Sara Danieli, Head of Art at ECC Italy, notes: "In an era characterised by profound global transformations, Personal Structures – Confluences explores how personal narratives build ties with collective ones, shaping an ever-evolving cultural landscape". Artistic practices thus converge into a single flow, transforming and resonating with one another in a conscious dialogue with time and memory. Meet the jury of the ECC Awards 2026! We are honoured to announce the exceptional minds who will shape this year’s ECC Awards. A panel of visionaries from across the globe, united by a shared passion for art, culture and design. ✨ Nargess Banks Writer and editor for Wallpaper and Forbes, Editorial Director of Voices by Maze Row, and author of books on wine, luxury, art, and history. Jesús Alberto Flores Mexican cultural strategist and architect, founder of Colector gallery and co-founder of Axis Mundi and L4UD, promoting art and music across Latin America, Europe, and East Asia. Rahul Gudipudi Curator and arts director, having held senior positions at institutions including CARA New York, Art Jameel Dubai, and the Diriyah Biennial, and founder of the artists’ initiative ke–na–. Euijung McGillis Assistant Curator of Contemporary Art at the National Gallery of Canada, specialising in Asian art, Korean modernism, and amplifying underrepresented voices. Anouska Phizacklea Director of the Museum of Australian Photography and co-President of the Melbourne Queer Film Festival, with senior experience at Heide Museum and ACCA.
