The first day of the two-day opening preview of “Relational Logic — Beyond Dualism, a World Reconnected” has successfully concluded, and we are truly grateful for the warm and enthusiastic response from all who visited. Today marks the second day of the preview, before the exhibition officially opens to the public on May 9, 2026. B-OWND is pleased to present this exhibition as part of Personal Structures 2026 “Confluences”, organized by @ecc_italy . We are pleased to share a video glimpse of the exhibition, captured across seven rooms at the historic Palazzo Bembo in Venice. Here, contemporary art rooted in Japanese craft enters into dialogue with the architecture, light, and memory of the city. Through the Eastern concepts of en — interconnectedness — and ku — emptiness — the exhibition challenges dualistic ways of thinking and explores how seemingly opposing values can coexist, resonate, and generate new meanings. The exhibition also features a special collaboration with Shueisha Manga-Art Heritage × Hirohiko Araki’s JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure, opening another pathway into the depth and diversity of contemporary Japanese expression. We extend our sincere thanks to all artists, partners, collaborators, and guests who joined us for the first day of the preview and made it such a meaningful beginning. For more details, please visit the special website via the link in @bowndjp profile. 【Exhibition Overview】 Relational Logic — Beyond Dualism, a World Reconnected at Personal Structures 2026 “Confluences” organized by ECC Dates: May 9 – November 22, 2026 Venue: Palazzo Bembo, Venice Produced and Curated by B-OWND Participating Artists: Art Collective TeaRoom @tearoom_japan Hiromine Nakamura @hirominator2.0 Kengo Takahashi @kengo_takahashi_ Takahiro Koga @takahiro00koga Tomoya Sakai @s_tomoya1212 Tanabe Chikuunsai IV @chikuunsai4 Yoshiaki Imamura @yoshiaki_imamura Special Collaboration: Shueisha Manga-Art Heritage × Hirohiko Araki’s JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure @mangaart.jp #BOWND #RelationalLogic #PersonalStructures2026 #Venice #venicebiennale

Hikoju Makie exhibits tea utensils for the tea room. Collaboration Artist: Room 1 Hikoju Makie (Lacquer Art) @hikoju_makie In the tea room of Room 1, the lacquerware created by the artisan collective Hikoju Makie serves as a vital medium—one that dissolves the binary boundary between "appreciation" and "use," guiding participants into a deeper spiritual experience. Based in Wajima, Hikoju Makie has remained fiercely dedicated to natural wood and urushi (lacquer) under the aesthetic vision of their late master, Takashi Wakamiya. Their approach to generating beauty relies on "relationships with others": a complete division of labor shared among some twenty specialized artisans. This collective methodology is the very embodiment of the exhibition’s theme, Relational Logic. In February 2025, the group faced a profound turning point with the passing of Wakamiya, their spiritual pillar. However, the lineage of his spirit and technique was never severed. Backed by the Yamauchi family—the founding family of Nintendo—a new structure was formed, marking the beginning of a new chapter for Hikoju Makie. Presenting the spirituality inherent in Japanese craft to the world as contemporary expression, their ongoing challenge to cross the borders between craft and art continues. 【Exhibition Overview】 "Relational Logic — Beyond Dualism, a World Reconnected" at Personal Structures 2026 ”Confluences” organized by ECC Dates: May 9 – November 22, 2026 Venue:Palazzo Bembo, Venice Curated and produced by B-OWND @ecc_italy

【Floor map】"Relational Logic” at Personal Structures 2026 ”Confluences” In an era defined by global transformation, the overarching theme of Personal Structures 2026 is "Confluences"—exploring how personal narratives build ties with collective ones. In response, B-OWND presents "Relational Logic — Beyond Dualism, a World Reconnected". Our exhibition seeks to reconnect these fractured values through the Eastern philosophy of En (relationships/connection) and Ku (emptiness). Rather than a simple display of objects, we have designed 7 distinct rooms as immersive environments. As visitors move through these spaces, they are invited to shift their perspective from "understanding through division" to "re-perceiving through relationships". Room 1:The Generation of Relationships — From Observation to Participation by Art Collective TeaRoom, Shueisha Manga-Art Heritage × Hirohiko Araki’s JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure Room 2:Ritual to the Universal — The Intersection of Alchemy and Animism by Yoshiaki Imamura Room 3:NEO WABI-SABI — A Portrait of Stillness and Excess by Takahiro Koga Room 4:Stratification and Liberation of Memory — Toward a FLAT Horizon by Tomoya Sakai Room 5:Flower Funeral — Life and Death, Held Together by Kengo Takahashi Room 6 Your Ark — Celebration and Emergency by Hiromine Nakamura Room 7:The Way of Interbeing — The Path of Ku (Emptiness) by Tanabe Chikuunsai Ⅳ Room 8&9:Shueisha Manga-Art Heritage × Hirohiko Araki’s JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure 【Exhibition Overview】 "Relational Logic — Beyond Dualism, a World Reconnected" at Personal Structures 2026 ”Confluences” organized by ECC Dates: May 9 – November 22, 2026 Venue:Palazzo Bembo, Venice Produced and Curated by B-OWND Personal Structures展の全体テーマは「Confluences(合流)」。 @ecc_italy

Relational Logic — Beyond Dualism, a World Reconnected 【Artist】 Art Collective TeaRoom @tearoom_japan TeaRoom explores beauty and connection without starting from separation. They treat chanoyu as a comprehensive art form where objects, space, gesture, people, and time arise together—and where relationship is felt through the five senses. Working from a tradition that has continually shaped ways of “being together” for centuries, TeaRoom unsettles the binary habits that define modern life. Their practice begins before definition: roles like “artwork” and “viewer” loosen, and everyone present becomes part of the environment. Their work extends beyond exhibitions and performances into tea cultivation, distribution, education, and international cultural projects. They build an ecosystem where art, industry, and culture move together. In this exhibition, by shifting appreciation into participation, TeaRoom poses a quiet question: what returns to us when we experience the world before it gets divided? 【Exhibition Overview】 "Relational Logic — Beyond Dualism, a World Reconnected" at Personal Structures 2026 ”Confluences” organized by ECC Dates: May 9 – November 22, 2026 Venue:Palazzo Bembo, Venice

Relational Logic — Beyond Dualism, a World Reconnected 【Special Collaboration】 Hirohiko Araki’s JoJo's Bizarre Adventure (Shueisha Manga-Art Heritage) @mangaart.jp Shueisha Manga-Art Heritage—an initiative that inherits Japan’s rich manga culture and elevates it into fine art. What unfolds here is the world of Hirohiko Araki’s JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure. It is an attempt to expand manga from a medium of everyday "reading" into an object of "contemplation" imbued with advanced technology and striking materiality. Here, manga effortlessly crosses the boundaries between "something to read" and "something to view," between "everyday entertainment" and "extraordinary art," presenting a new ontology where it can continually be both. The venue, Palazzo Bembo, is a historic structure built in the 1300s, its windows opening out to the canal overlooking the Rialto Bridge. Italy, and Venice in particular, serves as a crucial stage within the narrative of JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure. The "real Venice" framed by the windows and the "fictional Venice" depicted in the artwork overlap. In this intersection, the breathing of the characters transcends the confines of fiction, connecting directly to the physical senses of the spectator. The intervention of contemporary pop culture within this historic space does more than simply occupy a room. It dissolves the binary boundaries we unconsciously draw—high and low, reading and seeing, the everyday and the extraordinary, fiction and reality—and reweaves a new "relationship" across time and space. At this confluence where manga and craft, narrative and landscape intersect, visitors are invited to step beyond the two-dimensional frame into a multi-layered world where all values move and resonate equally. 【Exhibition Overview】 "Relational Logic — Beyond Dualism, a World Reconnected" at Personal Structures 2026 ”Confluences” organized by ECC Dates: May 9 – November 22, 2026 Venue:Palazzo Bembo, Venice

Relational Logic — Beyond Dualism, a World Reconnected 【 Artist 】 Tanabe Chikuunsai IV @chikuunsai4 Born in Sakai City, Osaka Prefecture in 1973, Chikuunsai IV grew up within a distinguished lineage of bamboo craftsmen, surrounded by the material from childhood. He studied sculpture at Tokyo University of the Arts before apprenticing under his father, Chikuunsai III, and taking the name Tanabe Chikuunsai IV in 2017. His work builds on traditional weaving techniques while expanding them into the scale and language of contemporary art. He is known in particular for large installations that draw on bamboo’s inherent vitality. After each exhibition, the works are dismantled and the bamboo carried forward into new projects—a practice that enacts, materially, the circulation and continuity his work is about. Here, Chikuunsai gives form to ku: the understanding that all existence arises within relationships. Venice’s light and wind, the weight of the architecture, and the presence of viewers are woven into a single structure. The result is a space that holds tradition and innovation, craft and art, nature and humanity, not as opposites to be resolved, but as forces that, brought together, become something new. 【Exhibition Overview】 "Relational Logic — Beyond Dualism, a World Reconnected" at Personal Structures 2026 ”Confluences” organized by ECC Dates: May 9 – November 22, 2026 Venue:Palazzo Bembo, Venice Curated by B-OWND Participating artists:Art Collective TeaRoom, Yoshiaki Imamura, Takahiro Koga, Tomoya Sakai, Kengo Takahashi, Hiromine Nakamura, Tanabe Chikuunsai IV Special Collaboration:Shueisha Manga-Art Heritage × Hirohiko Araki’s JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure

Relational Logic — Beyond Dualism, a World Reconnected 【 Artist 】 Hiromine Nakamura @hirominator2.0 Born in Fukuoka Prefecture in 1986, Nakamura studied sculpture at Tokyo University of the Arts, completing his undergraduate degree in 2009 and his Master’s in 2011, before apprenticing under his father, doll master Shinkyo Nakamura. He works within the tradition of Hakata dolls, while consistently pulling contemporary life into that classical frame. A question drives his practice: if a doll maker from the Edo period could observe the present, what would they make? He approaches modern athletes as warlords, luxury brand logos as family crests—lightly crossing eras and cultures to find the prayers and aspirations people carry without quite naming them. Here, the Hinadan becomes a stage where festivity and emergency share the same space. Human and animal, past and future, sacred and everyday—arranged on the same level, without resolution. Nakamura’s technical command is precise and deep, but the work it produces reaches past craft into something more exposed: a mirror for the choices, the hopes, and the blind spots that define how we live now. 【Exhibition Overview】 "Relational Logic — Beyond Dualism, a World Reconnected" at Personal Structures 2026 ”Confluences” organized by ECC Dates: May 9 – November 22, 2026 Venue:Palazzo Bembo, Venice Curated by B-OWND Participating artists:Art Collective TeaRoom, Yoshiaki Imamura, Takahiro Koga, Tomoya Sakai, Kengo Takahashi, Hiromine Nakamura, Tanabe Chikuunsai IV Special Collaboration:Shueisha Manga-Art Heritage × Hirohiko Araki’s JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure

Relational Logic — Beyond Dualism, a World Reconnected 【 Artist 】 Kengo Takahashi @kengo_takahashi_ Born in Kagoshima Prefecture in 1982, Takahashi studied at Tokyo University of the Arts, completing his undergraduate and master’s degrees in the Casting Lab of the Crafts Department, before earning his Ph.D. in Fine Arts (Crafts/Casting) there in 2022. He has also served as a research assistant and part-time lecturer at the university. Takahashi’s practice centers on his original ‘flower casting’ (hana-ikomi) technique, a development of vacuum pressure casting that replaces fresh flowers with aluminum at a thickness of just 0.1 millimeters. The work began in the aftermath of the 2011 earthquake—an experience that pushed him toward a sustained engagement with death, and with the idea of a requiem for what was lost. His objects sit at the boundary of the organic and inorganic, life and death. Running through them is a continuity of mourning and gratitude that stretches from early human burial rites to the present—a quiet insistence that death is not absence, but part of something larger. 【Exhibition Overview】 "Relational Logic — Beyond Dualism, a World Reconnected" at Personal Structures 2026 ”Confluences” organized by ECC Dates: May 9 – November 22, 2026 Venue:Palazzo Bembo, Venice Curated by B-OWND Participating artists:Art Collective TeaRoom, Yoshiaki Imamura, Takahiro Koga, Tomoya Sakai, Kengo Takahashi, Hiromine Nakamura, Tanabe Chikuunsai IV Special Collaboration:Shueisha Manga-Art Heritage × Hirohiko Araki’s JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure
