Currently documenting a Blue Period I've never asked for.
Still not my vibe nor in my palette, but here by circumstances I guess.

The exhibition at @museicapitolini explored the profound bond between the Maison's high jewelry and classical antiquity.

I came back yesterday from Riyadh, my first time in Saudi Arabia.
I was curious to experience firsthand the "air of change" everyone is talking about, a transformation that many describe with such contrasting impressions.
I can confirm the feeling of witnessing a silent revolution, right there in the streets, speaking with those who grew up in the Kingdom. However, this visit left me with something deeper: a sense of authenticity and truth that I haven't found in other places like Dubai, where I also worked for about a year. You can breathe the effort to pass down and enhance, certainly thanks to massive financial support that we often lack in Europe (and which in Italy would be a utopia!), whatever still remains of tradition, art, archaeology, and the very identity of the Saudi people. Though they have unfortunately lost important pieces of their past due to a lack of preservation in the past, I am certain they will soon become the protagonists of a new "Oriental Renaissance."
On one hand, you perceive the clear, pragmatic, and intelligent vision of the country’s leadership regarding economic growth and project development; on the other, a deep-seated attachment to values such as generosity, hospitality, kindness, and a spiritual respect for others, not just as the "human fuel" of a giant and powerful machine.
Many of my colleagues and friends in Italy and Europe hold prejudices against this land, which I found to be extremely humble and far more open to the future than one might think.
It was brief but intense, and I’m already planning my return.

DIRIYAH OPENS ITS DOORS AGAIN.
From January 30, Diriyah transforms into a vast space for art: the third edition of the Diriyah Contemporary Art Biennale will feature over 65 artists from around the world.
Among the highlights are Pacita Abad, known for her vibrant colors and works that tell stories of communities, and Samia Halaby, a pioneer of abstraction and experimentation. Their artworks will interact with Diriyah’s historic landscape, streets, and traditional architecture, creating an experience that combines local history with international contemporary art.
The Biennale will feature installations, paintings, and performances that speak both to an international audience and to those living in Saudi Arabia, exploring themes such as community, belonging, and cultural transformation.
More than just an exhibition, the Diriyah Biennale has become a key cultural moment for the Kingdom, positioning Riyadh as a hub for contemporary art and creative exchange
It brings together established and emerging artists, fosters dialogue across cultures, and invites visitors to engage with art in unexpected public spaces, from historic courtyards to streets that have witnessed centuries of history.
It’s an opportunity to see art as something alive, close, and accessible, not just within galleries, but woven into the life of the city itself, making it a landmark event in the region’s cultural calendar.
