Oil, glitter, funky foam on canvas,

Started as a floor-based monotype—messy, fast, and exciting… then got stuck on what next for two weeks.
Finished it with a scrap piece of orange funky foam I’d left on the studio floor. Picked it up, placed it, and that was it—done.
Funny how the thing you think you’re finished with ends up finishing the painting.

over 1000 submissions were received, from which over 130 works were selected;
Memento Amoris will take over the entirety of The Lido Stores
the exhibition runs from 7 February to 15 March 2026;
the opening drinks reception will be on Saturday, 7 February, 7-9pm;

Our first show together, the first of many! Thank you to everyone who came to show their support, and to all of the incredible artists who participated!
I'm excited to share that I've been included in "planning permissio,n" a group exhibition organised by @freshsaladart held @gallery19a open until the 4th of Feb! So anyone in brighton go along!

A bit about the exhibition:
The artworks in this exhibition will be asked to be considered as depictions of dreamlike architecture. Forming questions surrounding hypothetical if not impossible constructions.
Focusing on colour and form, suggestions of arches, columns, and other structures will reveal themselves. Being brought together on an imagined site of chaotic scale and proportion, creating an abstracted city-scape to navigate.
Titled Planning Permission highlighting the comical complexity of not only the premise of the fantastical builds, but also the slow bureaucratic process of permitted development. "

What a weekend!
We are overwhelmed by the reception and would like to thank everyone who came to our show- so many interesting conversations, people and art!
I am so proud of Dylan and I for organising and curating our first group show together. The aim of this show was to bring people together, we included friends and family, and it was a joy to see how much happiness and connection it has created, it makes me want to do this again soon! It seems obvious really, but the power of art lies in when it is shared with others
