Last year @lokkobass , a friend called Oz and I, entered a game jam where you were given a randomly generated theme and 10 days to comeplete and hand in the project, this was our submission - ESP aka Emergency Saftey Protocol. The story follows Cecile, an astronaut on board a station who wakes up to find the rest of the crew missing and the station in lock down. One of the most creative 10 days of back to back creation. I was responsible for the Lighting & VFX, Ui, Sound, design and writing. Proper credits below I’ve always loved game dev, but especially lighting in games, it’s a beautiful art form which I think people shy away from or overlook because they don’t think they have the skills/know how. If you’re a gaffer / DP / art definitely learn to light for 3D, there’s quite a few transferable skills that carry over, and the cost of admission is just the initial learning hump These clips shows off a tiny bit of ambient and gameplay. Ten Dates // Dir. @paulraschid A little late on this one but last year I shot this interactive feature / game in Wales. Probably one of the coolest things I’ve worked on. Shooting for interactive content is definitely different and I was definitely shook when I saw the 400 page script 🥲⚰️ (yes four hundred). And even then it was a smooth but tough ride. I finally shot a perfume campaign for none other than Cartier! This was a tough one working 4 days with no sleep back to back.. except that this whole caption is LIE and you are currently looking at an AI generated image 💀😂 A couple of days ago I started working towards replicating real photography within Midjourney. The generated couple dancing stood out to me so I thought, what if you could make commercially viable adverts within Midjourney, stable diffusion etc - and a day or so later I cooked up this Cartier advert in photoshop When you think about the implications of such an approach a whole list of people are axed from the production line of what would’ve been an campaign with real human employment. The change might not come now but those people who grow up with AI will enter positions of power and I predict this will be the norm! All the images in this post believe it or not, are AI generated (2nd last image is probably my fav just because of how believable it looks). The images in the last slide are the 4 options MIdjourney generated after my initial prompt. #cinematography #photography #midjourney #ai
