an 11 song project that summarizes the last 5 years of our lives: moving to london, working odd jobs to keep ourselves afloat and falling in love with uk club culture
it simultaneously narrates a london night from the moment you leave your flat and step onto the tube, to the moment you leave the club and head back home: 10pm to 3am

this one is track 4 of the mixtape, originally written on an old semi functional classical guitar i had tucked in a dusty corner at home
it’s called ‘no metaphors’ but ends with one, all my worries and remorses of my mid twenties in just about two minutes

a few years ago i sent a voice message to a friend after a bad waitressing gig
i found it again around the time we were writing the mixtape. showing it to ricardo, we both found an intensity in the voice message that we were trying to convey for the project
we started playing around with some chords on top of it and it straight away felt so emotional to us
it was always meant to be an intro to the project, but its been a suprise to see the reaction since it came out. grateful to see it resonate x
10PM was written in one of those moments where the climb uphill felt too steep, and I thought I was losing my calling, my motivation. just a passing moment turns out
