Portraits of Kehinde and Taiwo that I made for the artwork of our upcoming @dtmfro shindig, taken in London, 2026 🪩 I met these two a couple weeks back in Vauxhall, just after leaving @zone6press studio where I’d been going over some of my Berlin images with Johnny. As I stepped out, I spotted them – one of those moments where you gotta act quick. A corner of my eye is always devoted for faces for our posters, but afro twins was next level, especially given I'd always been a fan of images of the Islington Twins from back in the day ⭐️. I got Kehinde’s details and texted him the week after. I told them to meet me at Bank and wear matching suits if they had them. I bought the shades from Tiger on the way there because I thought that would be the cherry. I love photography for moments of serendipity like this – those small, chance encounters that turn into something bigger. It reminded me of something @akinbodeakinbiyi wrote in the foreword to my book, Ékò: “The longed for goal is serendipity, the coming together of what is within with what is out there. A fine, acute moment of happenstance, coincidence, being there, being prepared too to take, make, that particular image.” That’s exactly what this felt like. Hoping this is just the beginning with Kehinde and Taiwo as I think there are more posters to be made 😉 Big ups @riddladesigns on the design and to @tabi.ashnorm + @ben.tolu.matheson for your constant assistance ⭐️. Am thinking to print a few large if people are interested in getting some :) Party is on 17.04 and we'll be joined by @terrencemichaell and @helenastardj at @thecarpetshop.peckham . DTMF! will return for a spring get down on April 17th at @thecarpetshop.peckham with a lineup that will no doubt get you moving 🪩💃🏿 This will be the last shindig for a little bit so please do pull up and come for a proper shake 👊🏿🪩 We'll be joined by the talented @helenastardj – one of the warmest souls in the UK electronic scene and a true house head. With a sound that floats through soulful, bubbling baselines across disco, house, techno & garage. A dedicated force in the scene and host of @therapyworld__ , as well as shows on Voices and Foundation FM – we’ve been wanting this one for a while. Expect an extended set and come ready to let loose. Alongside her is NYC-raised @terrencemichaell ; a friend of the party, DJ and visual artist. Having been shaped by the early, eclectic spirit of house, he cut his teeth dancing in NYC’s queer house & techno scene. His sound moves between psychedelic soul, raw funk and punk energy – a deep digger with taste spanning disco to dub, house to techno and beyond. After a year of seeing him cut shapes on our floor, we are excited to have him behind the controls this time :) Can also expect a b2b from @obtikare and @ben.tolu.matheson ⭐️ The ting will run from 11PM–5AM and tickets are £10–16. Your love with our collaborators Don’t touch my Fro @dtmfro at our last outing @corsica.studios was truly one for the books! What an electric atmosphere !! A crowd that every promoter dreams of . Thank you to each and every one of you who was in attendance & brought it ! Thank you to our collaborators @dtmfro who hosted room 2 & played great music and were just so great to work with . Thanks to the fam @musclecars.nyc who delivered a masterclass set . Hard to believe that this is the end of the road with Corsica studios . Small to mid sized independent venues are so vital in keeping the art & culture alive. Think of the huge impact a venue such as Plastic People continues to have to this day long after it closed its doors. Corsica studios played a pivotal role in giving some of the more art focused djs & promoters a platform. In Adrian who founded Corsica studios ,there is heart & a reverence towards the arts and this in turn reflects on the team who worked at the club some for a very long time . Some of the nicest team you will ever encounter. Thanks to all of you . Without venues such as Corsica studios, the art simply dies . Support independent venues . support independent promoters . Next up … Your Love returns to Berlin on Friday in celebration of international women’s day - with some of the most bad ass women in the field right now soundtracking the night . Greetings people, buzzing to be running proceedings in @corsica.studios hot and steamy Room 2 next Saturday for a collaboration long in the making 💃🪩 @lakuti_ and @tama_sumo are shining lights of the underground house scene. They inspire not only as DJs but through their party Your Love, which is cut from the same cloth we’ve tried to build our thing from; thoughtful curation, seamless blends of emerging talent and legends, and deep respect for the roots of house and disco. @musclecars.nyc embody that spirit perfectly too with their killer DJ sets, productions and community building they do through their party @coloringlessons . After being longtime fanboys, we’re gassed to share a bill with them 🙂‍↔️ We’ll be joined by two local friends of the party and exceptional selectors who live and breathe music. @yesbabeldn founder and @homostash resident, @drms_85 , who is a devoted dance floor digger with far-reaching taste, from euphoric house to driving techno, all dripping in the soulful lineage of the Black and queer underground. Alongside him is @floorjam.club founder @laurellah , whose own event champions the Afro-diasporic soundscape. Behind the decks she takes no prisoners with selections chanelling Chicago and Detroit energy, along with UK techno, acid, breaks, left-field electronics and African percussion. After seeing her shut down @sweatitoutlagos in Lagos last year, the link-up felt inevitable :) Can’t wait for this get-down y’all. Big up to @corsica.studios for a fab 24 years.
