As the founder of Yes Babe! and co-organizer of All Black Queer Techno, he is an architect of the community, building the very spaces where music and identity intersect. His sound is a reflection of that structural thinking - drawing from the raw circuitry of Detroit, Chicago, and Acid House. MEET THE ARTIST - DAVID RAMSAY Rooted in London’s queer underground, David is a DJ with an expansive but focused approach to techno and house music. Influenced by the sounds of Detroit, Chicago and acid house sounds, his sets feature grooves and layered rhythms across various genres. In 2023, he created Yes Babe! a party that focused on championing underrepresented local talent, and the following year he co-organised All Black Queer Techno. He has also been part of the Block 9 crew at Glastonbury since 2016, working behind the bar at Maceos and spending most of his spare time in the NYC downlow which has provided plenty of musical inspiration and helped shape his sound. @drms_85 - bluum room - april 11th - blu.2 - @houseofgaffe

They will be joined by two local friends of the party and exceptional selectors who live and breathe music. @yesbabeldn founder and @homostash resident, @drms_85 , who is a devoted dance floor digger with far-reaching taste, from euphoric house to driving techno, all dripping in the soulful lineage of the Black and queer underground. Alongside him is @floorjam.club founder @laurellah , whose own event champions the Afro-diasporic soundscape. Behind the decks she takes no prisoners with selections chanelling Chicago and Detroit energy, along with UK techno, acid, breaks, left-field electronics and African percussion. @drms_85 is the forty-first guest of MISS DREAMZCAST, our weekly series celebrating the DJs we love as they grace us with the music that makes us smile and gets us dancing. David is a DJ rooted in the London queer underground scene. Born in London and raised in the west country, he is inspired by jazz, funk & disco, New York and Acid House, Detroit Techno, he has an eclectic taste in music, and his sets often weave and layer different elements. He has played at various club nights, including at Unfold, Psybuzz, Homostash, Gauche, and Riposte, and has supported artists including Robert Hood and Ben Kolck. David has also been involved in organising events through Yes Babe! Which he created in 2023, and through collaborations such as 2024’s All Queer Black Techno, both of which focused on platforming underrepresented artists. As a resident at @yesbabeldn and @bunker_194 , LO-LOW masterfully blends genres—from deep house and techno to electro, ballroom, breaks, and pop—creating a buoyant and sonically diverse experience. Her journey through music began with journalism at CLASH Magazine, but it was behind the decks where she truly found her calling. From playing at London’s Fold to playing across international stages in Beirut, Amsterdam, and Brazil, LO-LOW’s star is rising fast. With her playful essence and unmatched vibes, she’s quickly becoming one of the most exciting emerging talents in the queer music scene. Joining her is @drms_85 , a staple in London’s queer electronic music community who is coming back for his second appearance at Mudder.
