HKNG CLVB HALF DOME was the hardest hike yet, I’ve never understood why healthy people take hiking poles until this hike. Not pictured in this reel is the descent down the Mist trail which is miles of rocks to walk down, rock stairs, medium size rock paths perfect for spraining an ankle or twisting a knee. I was glad for my vibrams which feel safer than hiking shoes when you’re on uneven rocky terrain. The cables were no joke, visually scary and legit worn slippery from the hundreds a day that climb it. Two people right in front of us turned around mid cables and give up, that’s after 6 hours climbing in only to give up mid cable! People come from all over, one lady was crying that this was her bucket list hike. We were lucky and hit perfect weather, the next day it rained and rain is so dangerous on half dome, they warn you right before you climb that you are at risk of death. As we climbed down the sun started setting and our path was nothing but treacherous rocks so we booked it like possessed zombies down the path passing equally beat bruised and stiff people. Earlier in the day a hiker had passed by and I asked him a couple questions which he answered in a rude tone and later on I got why, you are so done, body is hurting so much there’s no bandwidth left for polite tones. @jennifranni @feral.sara and @masha.doll I couldn’t have asked for more thoughtful teammates. . . . . #halfdome #hiking #hikingclub #yosemite #yosemitenationalpark🌲 #bucketlist #badass

My favorite photo from this months @opalmoondesigns shoot at DSRT HAUS. We started with this look, layering her scarves into full outfits and shooting in front of our Gypsy Den. The Gypsy Den is our prized place to sleep guests, as you lay down you are surrounded by colorful lanterns and trippy lights and intricate woodwork by @drkhaus . Ive strung macrame, beads, even bones up, it is an altar to whomever sleeps there and the perfect setting to be swathed in scarves with my magical @rtrt.cvlt women Thank you @moonfields for the gorgeous captures from this day as you worked harder than anyone to get the shots just right, all of them were gorgeous but especially this one which is why it’s my first one to post. This shoot marks a bunch of new looks launched today by Opal Moon who’s style perfectly compliments desert magic ✨🌚✨

Welcome to MNTN HAUS After soaking up the peace we experienced with @dsrt_haus the silence of nature and healing that rural living provides you we became compelled to fully leave the city life of Rothick ART HAUS behind. While I love Orange County and all that it provides once we added DSRT HAUS my life changed, my nervous system calmed down and I fell in love with being immersed in nature, we were splitting our time equally between the desert and the city but soon all that will be changing! When we vacationed in Idyllwild we fell in love with the downtown which is like if Mayberry (from the Andy Griffin show 👵🏼 IYKYK) and Joshua Tree had a love child. The downtown is personable and quaint, the food is good (kind of a big deal bc mountains towns don’t always have great food) the scenery is magestic and the mayor is a very good boy who is often seen in the downtown giving out kisses @mayormax1 😍 This house is designed by architect Dennis McGuire in 1980 and has a modern vintage vibe that enchanted us. Also the ROCKS as we have our own big boulders and mini forest on our land. BONUS It comes with the dopest Casita behind the house and we love to share our space with people. When got Rothick ART HAUS in 2008 it was a work/live in Anaheim that we turned into a gallery space to give artists a place to congregate. Then we acquired DSRT HAUS in 2014 and added extra places for our artist friends to come stay with us. Now with MNTN HAUS we hope to continue that ethos giving our artists friends another healing place to stay and relax ✨

How @rtrt.cvlt does a WDDNG. All hail the gorgeous [email protected] in her golden antler crown made by @drkhaus and her wolf king Mohammed. We spent months crafting for this event, knotting 70 ropes+, making tree hangers of tear drops, moons and stars, I spent month bundling the spring sage from Dsrt Haus, we gathers our yellow palo verde blossoms and magenta bougainvillea petals. I also bound palo santo and selenite crystals for guests. I crafted a desert arbor of Creosote branches with golden mushrooms, china berries and hanging macrame. @sara.haase.art and I stained linen paper cards with pink prickly pear pigment and made Masha X Mo art to stamp on them. @pale.horse.botanica hand carved and bound the wedding album that looked like it was from GoT. We made magical mushrooms and @helle.torj made little fantasy Masha X Mo figurines of water nymphs and werewolves and @_jarasol_ flew in from Denmark to make this her first wedding she’s ever attended and wove the harvest crowns. It was a community creation, I can not believe they let us create so much for this wedding. We ended the Midsommar day by jumping in the pool and watching the sunset over the Malibu Canyon foothills. We then finished the night by hauling every piece of trash out and stocking my car with 5 girls and 50tons of wedding gear! What an adventure!
