I am getting really good at wearing my cowboy hat, and this is a new one. I am NOT saying I chewed the old one… But I do have a new one. It is probably just a coincidence that I have a new one! Also, a darling little boy came to town to visit with me, and he brought me a stick. Isn’t that sweet? I love sticks! I love eating them actually as much as deck slats and other wood flooring and furniture. I did send a stick to Heaven if you know what I mean! I hope you think I look cute with my stick and my hat! A DAY FOR VISITORS! This is part one of a three-part post. To see the entire post, read this post and the next two posts. Thank you. What an extremely interesting and active day we have had at the house. There were so many visitors that we could hardly keep up! The day started out with a visit from a coyote, and they come all the time. But this one looks like it was Meadow’s boyfriend who likes to hang out twice a year for several weeks in a row. We are wondering if he knows something that we don’t know yet. We were thinking that August would be about the right timing for his visit, but now that we looked at the calendar more closely, any time in June could be the timing. So far, I haven’t really figured it out, and I have not made any marriage proposals to Meadow… but apparently, the coyote is being quite optimistic! It is always fun to bark at the coyotes because “it gets the carbon off the spark plugs” as we like to say. The neighbors love it too and like to call Phyllis repeatedly to congratulate us on getting the coyotes off of our property and onto theirs! We also had the early morning quail visitors who have had babies, and the babies are no bigger than the size of a golf ball. When a breeze comes up, sometimes the quail babies roll in the wind, but they are very chipper about it and very cute, and they manage to land on their feet again after a few rolls. We can hear them chuckling and laughing as they roll down the yard.

Hello Everyone! It’s me, Deputy Co-Mayor Mitzi! I just wanted to send you a little reminder that we are going to be celebrating my 13th birthday on Tuesday, May 26, at 4 PM at Wooley’s, the store with a giant cowboy hat over the entrance in downtown Idyllwild. I will be outside in one of our two Mayor Mobiles along with Mayor Max and Meadow, and we will be giving away free cupcakes that day. We would love to see you then. Please come pet me. It makes me so happy to see you. I am pretty excited because Phyllis has told me I get a vanilla cupcake, and I get to go to the Dairy Queen later. I keep hoping I will get a Dairy Queen gift card in the mail, but Phyllis has assured me that even if I don’t, I get to go to my favorite five-star dining restaurant in the world that I love and recommend: the Dairy Queen! What a fun and busy day on Saturday with our downtown visiting and a private event with a very friendly group. This is a picture of Vice Mayor Meadow and me with the students and staff from Rise and Climb Fitness. Everyone loved spending time with us discussing important issues of the day. We then went home for dinner, and I wanted you to see a new video of me showing that I no longer have to be on a leash when I am running from the garage to the front door of the house. I don’t run off like I did when I was younger, and I know exactly what to do. Also, I will wear a cowboy hat with no problem now, and I have been out in the public 14 times, and I no longer shred my hat. Yay!! Phyllis is still, however, trying to teach me to shake hands on command. I just do it when I feel like it so I am not consistent. Sometimes I do it when I am not being asked to do it. Sometimes I will only shake hands with Phyllis. But even with Phyllis, I don’t always do it. On a scale from one to 10 on shaking hands with 10 being best, I am currently at a three. Phyllis is optimistic that we are going to get to a 10! That is the update! We hope to see you downtown later today on Mother’s Day. I will be downtown at 2 PM. I love you with all my heart! Hi there! This is me, Deputy Co-Mayor Mitzi when I was quite a bit younger than I am today! What’s funny about this younger picture is that I was a little grumpy at that moment because my brother, Deputy Co-Mayor Mikey, bumped me and woke me up from a sound sleep. I happen to be a very friendly and nice dog at all times. However, I do NOT like to be bumped when I am napping. Sometimes Mikey would do that, and I always had to give him a pinch with my teeth when he did it. He didn’t seem to mind at all, and I always thought it was accidental when he did it, which is why he got a pinch instead of a bite. But now that I think about it further, I just realized that I always heard him chuckling when he did it. Maybe he did it on purpose after all that little rascal! Also, I am beside myself with joy and excitement for my upcoming birthday party just 18 days away on May 26. At 4 PM, we will be downtown at Wooley’s giving away free cupcakes, and I get to have a vanilla cupcake that day! Plus, I am continuing to hope for a trip to the Dairy Queen! I am pretty sure that IS going to happen, but I never take these things for granted. I will be turning 13 years old, and we would love to see you at my birthday party if you happen to be in town that day. Thank you for being our dear friend. We love you with all our heart! Hello Everyone! Here I am at one of my favorite spots in town, Idyllwild Brewpub. The Brewpub is very dog friendly, and they have a wonderful menu for pets. I gobble up my meal every time I am there, and I eat every bite. Not only do we Mayors love to come to the Brewpub, so do our Chiefs of Staff, Phyllis Mueller and Glenn Warren. Definitely have the Brewpub at the top of your list every time you visit Idyllwild. It’s a must visit! I hope I’m there when you stop by. I love you with all my heart! Hello Everyone! Meadow and I, Mayor Max, are catching treats. This is a game that we love to do. While I am very gentle when I am hand-fed a treat, Phyllis always says that Meadow is like a velociraptor. Not kidding! So we are now fed with a little treat toss, and we are both very good at catching the treats. 99% of time if we miss catching the treat, then it was operator error… meaning that Phyllis didn’t toss it too well! Yes, that must be it! Phyllis could never hit the ball off the tee in golf either though her dad had high hopes for her because on the rare occasion when she did hit the golf ball successfully, it went really far. But, it could take at least 20 swings before she could connect the golf club to the ball! True story! LOL We hope you think we look cute! Love always, Meadow and Mayor Max 3 We love you infinity!

What a great and wild day! I started out at the Nomad Ventures wonderful trail festival today, and that was a lot of fun. I met so many people, especially hikers, and they all wanted a picture with me and to pet me. How nice! Then we did the downtown visiting for three more hours, and that was fun too. Phyllis deputized all the children and pets with a Deputy Mayor Certificate and a Mayor Max tie. Phyllis let them all know they are now Deputy Mayors of Idyllwild and on the Mayor‘s Peace on Earth Team. Phyllis likes to thank all the children for all the humanitarian work they are going to do in their lifetime. Sometimes she says she is thanking them now for all the nice things are going to do to help people in their lifetime. Then she asks them if that sounds good, and the children always smile and say yes. After the long day, we Mayors all fell sound asleep in our Mayor mobiles on the way home. The windows were open, and the wind wiggled our whiskers ever so gently as we snuggled together and slept with such peace and harmony. We all were dreaming how happy we are to be able to touch the lives of so many people in such a happy way with the hope of inspiring others to a kind and loving humanitarian life and imagining all the good deeds they will do to create a wave of loving energy that embraces the planet and creates peace on Earth for everyone.
