Two new stouts fresh on today. On Cask "Cast Iron Stout" a lovely trad coffee stout from @ironpier.beer On Keg "Occasional Irregularity" a Whisky and Bourbon barrel aged, strawberry pastry imperial stout from @sinnisterbrew . A lowlow score of 4.56/5 on untappd currently... Cheers 🍻

Next Friday the 3rd of Apirl we will be launching our new IPA "Beyond The Ditches" at the Drayman's. One of them big juicy 6% NE IPA's brewed with the awesome Burnt Mill. Well worth a trip down the Dray's for! 🍻 @3blindmicebrew @burntmillbrewery

Next Tuesday @ted_morcaldi will be back for another night of live Jazz, this time joined by @sammilesmusic on the sax.

The final four dark beers pencilled in for the dark beer event on Friday 13/03 (less than 2 weeks). What's a dark beer event without some silly impys, ay? Well, here we go some silly impys... @sinnisterbrew "Umbrifrious" 10.6% - Chocolate & Chilli Scottish whisky Barrel Aged imperial stout. Logan at Sinnister is an absolute beast at balancing barrels and imperials, especially the Scottish Whiskys. With a subtle addition of chilli, this really is a unique beer. For you untappers, if you know you know but Logan loves feedback! @factorybrew x @twoflintsbrewery "Anniversary Cake" 12% - Coconut, coffee and vanilla bean imperial pastry porter. A new brewery for us at the Dray. From Finland with what seems to be a name for bold beers. This being one of our none barrel aged offerings and one for you lovers of the sweeter pastry stouts. @elmeleven x @3sonsbrewingco "Fractal" 12% - blended barrel aged bake shop imperial stout. Expect a real sipper with layers and layers of flavours. Elmeleven is a favourite of ours for the pulp sours they produce and we can't wait to give this dark beer a try! @emperorsbrewery "BA interceptor" 14.3% - Emperors in it. Yewp that Star Trek loving guy. Another first time for at the Dray and it looks like a beaut, chocolate, maple and pecan Fijian Rum barrel aged impy. Yes please.👌 It's been tricky to pick for this year, but hopefully, plenty on for you dark beer enthusiasts... Bring on the 13th!

The next six beers to showcase for the dark beer event in two weeks on the 13th are as follows: @3blindmicebrew "Old Brown Mouse" , our house chestnut best bitter weighing in at a sessionable 4.2%. Perfect starter on cask before diving into the heavy big hitters. We also will have our house Porter "Milkworm" on keg, a chocolate and vanilla pastry Porter so popular we asked for it do be brewed permantly for the pub. @artefactbrewing "Amplified Dark Mild" 5.3% on cask. The bigger brother of the popular Dark mild by Artefact, milds have come a long way over the years and we are looking forward to having an amplified one. @bearwoodbrewing "Nux" 6.8% Export stout on cask. A new brewery for us, which has some impressive reviews in the craft scene. Always love a stronger stout on cask and we are really looking forward to getting this on cask for you lot. @lefthandedgiantbrewing "Dark Mild" 3.4% on cask. The true session drink of the event from a brewery we know well for juice bomb New England style Ipas but we know can smash a great Dark beer. @burntmillbrewery "beneath the seas" 6.5% Export stout on keg. It's one of our favourite stouts in that abv range and was so good we knew we had to add it to the list... We have four more imperials on keg to showcase, which we will post tomorrow, some real bangers...

So... We have now secured most of the beers we will be putting on for the dark beer event on the 13th of March. This week, we will be showcasing some if not all of them. We will then follow with a full beer list prior to the week of the 13th. The first two beers to showcase are from @alldaybrewing Devil Tide on cask and Eagle Blood on keg. Devil Tide is the popular Devil Moon stout with the addition of sea salt from a producer on the farm in which they brew. Only 5 casks are kicking about so rare and all that! Eagle Blood is a blend of the West Coast Big Rig and Porter Kubah and will hopefully display plenty of that big bitter "beak" that All day westies are known for. The third beer is Centaur Army on keg, a staple pastry imperial stout in the uk beer scene by @neonraptorbrew . Peanutbutter / strong imperial stout, what more could you want? More to come very soon...

Once again we will be putting on a selection of dark beers for our yearly Dark beer event. Should be something for everyone from sessionable to strong, barrel aged to pastry and everything inbetween. We will be releasing details of some of the beers including the big hitters over the coming weeks. The beers will be kept on for the weekend for anyone who can't make the Friday. We can not guarantee that they won't all be slurped up on the Friday though! Cheers 🍻

For a variety of reasons we have decided to slightly change our opening hours starting from the 2nd of Febuary. This will be affecting Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday opening times and Sunday opening/ closing times. Sorry for any inconvenience caused.
