The first quarter of the festival run for the DISAUTHORITY Originals production “Homonym” has been an absolute blast.
We started March off with a double premiere weekend across both sides of the pond, with a @wftv_uk Festival screening in London and @short.sweet.film.fest in Cleveland, Ohio, where we picked up the Outstanding Horror Film Award and the Audience Choice Award, and we are sending our deepest gratitude to the jury and audience.
Two weeks ago we had the privilege of screening at the BIFA-qualifying @uviewff and were honoured to have received award nominations for Best Sound (congratulations to Jamie Thomas), Best Costume Design (congratulations to @savannah.blum ) and The Free at Last TV Award - Barry & David (@freeatlasttv ).
And we’ll be rounding up spring with a screening at @romfordfilmfesival on Sunday May 24th as part of Short Film Showcase 7. Get your tickets at romfordfilmfestival.com and stay tuned for more very soon.

As Co-Founder and VP of DISAUTHORITY, a London-based boutique post house, she has built a career across high-end fiction short form and is now in post for her debut feature producing title Sticks & Stones, a supernatural thriller exploring the lasting impact of silencing women’s testimonies.

Today marks a month since our inaugural Berlinale drinks at @thegibsonbar , an exclusive networking mixer for our industry parnters and friends.
We’re forever grateful to @jojodye1 of JJD Consultancy for making this event the success that it was, and we are very excited to work again together as part of The Members’ Club in Cannes during Marché du Film. As we begin the festival run, we are excited to share the key art for the DISAUTHORITY Original Homonym, created by the one and only @danscombedesign .
It has been a little over a year since we wrapped production on this gem of a short film that has been pivotal in the development of our independent studio model and inspired the creation of our debut feature Sticks & Stones with @lilyhowkins .
Homonym is premiering in the UK today at 1pm at @thegardencinema as part of the Women In Film & TV Festival. Many thanks to @wftv_uk member and one of the composers @daisycoole for helping to platform this film to the community of female filmmakers and decision makers, and we are looking forward to bringing the story to wider audiences across the UK soon.
And tomorrow Homonym is having its US premiere at the @short.sweet.film.fest in Cleveland Ohio at 7pm as part of the Science Fiction & Horror Film Program.
Prepare to be intrigued and unsettled and decide for yourself whose side of the story you will believe.
