After a decade together @leew_vfx and I finally went on holiday somewhere hot. Saw a Mayan pyramid, swam through mangroves and bat caves in an underground river, spent the day in a cabana, and ate much guacamole (except for that one time when a gecko landed in it). Not pictured: one million mosquito bites, but overall, still worth it. Looking forward to our next sunny holiday when we are 50.
Happy #starwars day! May the 4th be with you! Carrying on the theme of film-recreations, way back in 2017 @leighfrancis gave me the chance to create VFX for the recreation of Return of the Jedi. It was a lot of fun doing close-but-legally-different-enough version of Star Wars™. ✨
This one's from 2021, a SKY show wanted to recreate a scene from Fast & Furious - I half jokingly suggested suspending a car and spinning it round, but we found it was the best way to do what we wanted. Swipe to watch it spin! #vfx #fastandfurious
An old one, I had to do a 'fake lawn catching fire' shot and we started with a big blast of fire! Here's one of the tests...I can't find the shot in the end, sorry. #vfx
I've done a handful of underwater shoots and they're always a lot of fun. I did not go in the water just watched from the side though. I'm not getting in.
Count Abdulla is now out on ITVX! I worked as the VFX supervisor and delivered 120 shots across the series. It was an incredibly talented team and I’m proud to be part of it.
