Who is Dillon/Rose? The name is the union of our middle names, representing our collaboration. While I began the jewelry making adventure and continue leading the studio today, DILLON/ROSE would not exist without my husband, Seth Dillon. Not because I couldn’t do it alone but because doing it myself, alone, would limit my own ambition and success. Two creative minds are better than one. Seth is critical, providing abundant feedback on design and processes. Though strong, he can be too forceful and has required my assistance understanding the delicacies and tenderness necessary to cautiously melt metal or maneuver tiny gemstones. Beast meet beauty. In contrast, my patience and disposition caters to a relaxed client experience, allowing big decisions to feel comfortable. Connecting with people is the ultimate goal of any artist and I have a gift for it. Our strengths compliment our struggles, making us so much more resilient than either could be alone. Dillon/Rose is the sum of our beings, the best of both, a love child born of creativity.

Community building and social arts practices have been woven into our work since the inception. Reflecting on a decade of Dillon Rose reminds me of the many collaborations that make our work richer, catalyzing creative exploration and symbiotic relationships. Hopefully the community is richer because we invest in it, we challenge it, we request that it blossom alongside us. Grateful for a community that so often says yes to my requests. - Here are a few of my favorite collaborations over the past 10 years. - Images 1&2: The Yoni Collection, a collection created to honor the power of feminine energy, raising funds for @iudecide 3&4: Photographing hundreds of women crowned in our jewels on a collaboratively built throne with artists from @blackmoontulsa and Holy Mother collectives. 5: Great Salt Plains Collaboration with fellow artists @annieellicott @goodwithcoffee @arichristopher @melissalukenbaugh @jplans @alisha7473 and others 6&7: Collection V X Mushrooms - a fundraiser for @lizardblood @okiebug project with a dinner by @bradleyjamesdry 8: Apiary Collection Raising funds for local beekeepers 9&10: Reparations Project marking the centennial of the Tulsa Race Massacre - raising thousands for @blackmoontulsa arts collective 11: Copper Cuff Fundraiser - providing grants to musicians with @reddirtrelief during the pandemic. 12.&13: Hidden Gem Community Dinners with @catcoxbaker uplifting women and creating community in our studio.  14: Pantheon of the American West project and book with @jeremyluther @kalynfay @aint_itstrange @melissalukenbaugh @clay_boy56 15. Ten years ago today Dillon Rose was born in a small craftsman home in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Much like giving birth to a human, this endeavor has pushed us beyond what we thought was possible. Striving, enduring, celebrating and satisfying are all words that come to mind. Creating talismans of love and connection is the gift we give and receive. Even if we were closing forever today we would be proud of the effort. We are humbly grateful to continue creating and investing in our passion. We know we couldn’t do it without you. We look forward to the unknowns of tomorrow, next year and the unknowable next decade of Dillon Rose and the stories to be told in metal and stone. she *got* a ring from @dillonrose 💍 Four year anniversary today, but first time as a fiancée. Every moment with you is a dream that never ends. Our friends at @dillonrosejewelry created a custom MASTERPIECE. Honored that they put it on a billboard. Honk if you see it! 📍: 13th St & Lewis Ave 📷: @jordanamcnear #Anniversary

My family buys me plants every Mother’s Day, knowing my garden is where I find the purest, most relaxed joy. As I planted today I considered the honor it has been to create for so many mothers. - Mothers know what it is to nurture a dream. An input of labor, intention, care, and most desperately, hope. Many of the most meaningful pieces I create honor women who have been steadfast in hope and love despite hardship. Their stories inspire me. - Cheers to the moms nurturing our future.

Today I was sworn in as the president elect of the Tulsa Executive Association (TEA). As an outsider artist who enjoys staying outside the confines of institutions it’s curious. I was invited to join TEA a few years ago and saw individuals who maybe weren’t very akin to me, but who were putting intention into the community of people surrounding them. A gathering of vastly different skill sets, mostly older men with long standing businesses. Around the same time a mentor told me I was a brilliant artist but he didn’t know about me being a business woman. It’s often how I’ve felt, but my desire for independence is fierce. The radical, dreamer, punk rock kid inside me still determined to define destiny. It’s why I created a business to promote my work, put myself in rooms with people that have skills I lack, engage with marketing at all, and put myself on a freaking billboard - uncomfortable tools to engage with but which spur growth. I’ve learned that being an outsider says nothing about leadership capacity and that entrenched communities are often hungry for fresh perspectives, especially when the goal truly is abundance for all. TEA was established in the 1920s, bringing business leaders together to ensure support and success through the Great Depression and Dust Bowl and continues to create a community of abundance in Tulsa. I’m honored to carry the torch during my tenure as Madame President. 🔥🌹

I have a vivid memory. When we’re younger, almost half of our lives ago, Seth rode on a silver fixed gear bike wearing short cut off jean shorts, jumping off dramatically into a hip shaking dance, his Walkman blaring loudly in his ears. “Children behave… that’s what they say when we’re together” he sang. He introduced my sheltered younger self to culture in the most eclectic way, totally unashamed to relish in the delight of sugary girlpop like Tiffany. He would often whisper wishingly “I think we’re alone now”…. funny how that worked out. - This Sat/Sunday we get to meet this siren of youthful love in Tulsa at Belafonte, a lovely intimate space across from our studio and you can too!
