Help us say felicidades to our 2026 graduates of Rompiendo Los Tabúes! 🎓🎓
These community members completed a 5-week sexual health program rooted in family values and intergenerational connection. Our dedicated RLT team, with facilitators from @amplifytulsa@elcentrotulsa and TCI, helped create safe spaces for youth and parents from 16 families to learn about topics like healthy relationships, consent, and anatomy.
A special thank you to the facilitators, meal providers, and caretakers who helped make this space welcoming for the whole family. We can’t wait to see you next year! 🩷💛💚💙🩵
It’s officially a wrap for our 2026 PHE cohort! 🥳 These fantastic, hard-working Peer Health Educators learned about the public health space through intentional work in community engagement, policy, and resource access.
Each PHE contributed to one of three project groups tackling important topics in public health:
⭐ Community Outreach
⭐ Policy
⭐ Clinic Advocacy
Please join us in congratulating the newest graduates of our PHE program! 🙌🎉
We hit the ground running this year with our intergenerational bilingual family program, Rompiendo los Tabúes (Breaking the Taboos). 🐦
In collaboration with @elcentrotulsa and @amplifytulsa , we shifted from a five-session monthly schedule to a five-week program with weekly sessions. This year, more than 60 participants from 17 families are taking part in a program designed for the whole family, including childcare for the little ones.
We’re so happy to spend an impactful five weeks together making memories and building community with the families who participate! 🥳
A health condition doesn’t necessarily mean you have to go without birth control. There are many options available, and some may fit your lifestyle or health needs. Certain methods may also help with symptom management while preventing pregnancy. 💫
Talk with a healthcare provider about which option might be right for you.

Kitmaking season is well underway. 🙌 Thank you to our partners at @TulsaRemote for gathering such a mighty. group of volunteers. After sharing some TCI resources and a wonderful presentation from @metriarchok we went from 0 kits to 550 in just under an hour! ⏳
Emergency contraception (EC), often called the morning-after pill, can be used after sex to help prevent pregnancy. It can be taken more than once if needed. 👌
EC is often used as a backup method and may be less effective than birth control methods used before or during sex. It can also get expensive if you are paying out of pocket. 😳
TCI offers EC at no cost for anyone in Oklahoma, so cost doesn’t have to be a barrier. Want to learn about more consistent or cost-effective options? Check out our website or text our helpline at (539) 302-3615 📲📲

Say hello to TCI's new Program Coordinator, Shavonna! 🤩 Shavonna earned a Masters in Public Administration with a specialization in Non-profit Management. As a previous small business owner, Shavonna brings a strong economic justice background to the table from her experience working with entrepreneurs to start and maintain their own small businesses. 🧳
Here's what Shavonna shared about entering her new role: "What I'm most excited about is participating in outreach events and workshops so I can engage with the community directly."
When asked to describe her music taste in just a couple artists, she narrowed them down to her repeat favorites, Kendrick Lamar and The Clark SIsters. 🎧
We hope you are excited as we are to see Shavonna work her magic with TCI. Welcome aboard! 💙

Reflection > perfection 🤩 Sometimes all you need is a reminder of how far you’ve come, what you’ve accomplished, and who you are today to keep you going. We’re proud of our community for so many reasons so we invited our Galentine’s guests to share why they’re proud of themselves. 💌
