You’re Invited to Storm: Radical Togetherness
Storm is a public dance intervention. A gathering. A moving act of resistance—temporary, responsive, and collective.
The dancers are rascals—engaging in embodied protest to generate radical togetherness—with each other, and with you. We offer presence, play, and joy as a political force to contest the systems that keep us apart—institutional structures that profit from our isolation, silence, and competition.
This is not a show for passive consumption. Not a spectacle to brand a space or gather accolades. You’re not just an audience—you’re part of the weather.
Wander over. Stay a while. Follow your curiosity. Let yourself be changed by proximity, possibility, and shared momentum.
Together, we ask:
What becomes possible when we gather in joy?
What becomes powerful when we dance instead of divide?
Storm will emerge on May 24 and June 1 at approximately 2:00 PM in downtown Tulsa. #stormradicaltogetherness for details and updates.
Be prepared for sun—bring water, hats, pillows, chairs, and anything that helps you stay present and comfortable.
Stay tuned for updates—Oklahoma weather is as unpredictable as we are.

Off the Dome was so much fun! I was impressed to see so many talented dancers who improvised to songs and challenges on the fly. This is a little clip from the Judge’s Showcase (they let us OGs do a little something). Music Dominique Fils-Aimé, one of my favorite artists! #dominiquefilsaimé #improvisationaldance #improvdance

I’m deeply honored and grateful to have been awarded a Distinguished Graduate Student Fellowship from the University of Wisconsin Milwaukee alongside these other remarkable artists. Huge thanks to UWM and the Peck school of the Arts for investing in my research!

UPDATE:
I have reconsidered. I’m pushing this back to prioritize another project.
I’ve written a dance theatre piece in response to the election results and I’m looking for partners to help me produce it. Who wants to play?
we’re going to need:
A free or very inexpensive venue*, preferably in a place where passersby can see the lead-up and enter. Donations of supplies and funds for purchasing supplies: ribbon, costumes, and household furniture
Crafters and makers to collect supplies and make props and small scene pieces
Performers from any genre who are sensitive to ensemble dynamics
Please send me a message if you want to participate and help!
*The experience will be offered free and open to the public, so there’s no budget to pay for the space. I’ll use my personal (single mom artist household) funds if necessary.

🎃 Halloween should be a National Holiday for honoring the Witch, the Queer, the Freak in All of Us 🎃
Halloween isn’t just costumes and candy—it’s our day to celebrate those who live on the edges, embracing queerness, freakishness, and the radical wisdom of the witch. Witches symbolize feminine knowledge, resistance, and transformation; they are our guides in reclaiming power that’s been suppressed. Imagine a national holiday where we uplift the outsiders and the unconventional, honoring the magic of queerness, the strength in difference, and the joy in being utterly, unapologetically ourselves. Let’s make Halloween a celebration of the witch, the queer, and the wonderfully strange in all of us! 🧙♀️✨ #HalloweenHoliday #HonorTheWitch #QueerMagic

Storm: Low Pressure System 1
Temple of Dance - Tulsa, OK
Join us in the first of a series of collaborative dance-making workshops offered over the 2024/25 season as part of “Storm: Radical Togetherness in Public Dances.”
We’ll explore the collaborative essence of creativity in dance-making. Drawing from the principles of embodied interactions and transcultural dynamics, this workshop invites dancers to engage in a shared creative process that transcends individual perspectives. Through collaborative improvisation, we’ll explore how creativity is not just an individual act but a generative force that emerges within community contexts. Inspired by the idea that creative potential is heightened when diverse bodies and minds interact, this workshop will challenge us to expand our comfort with diffused authority and co-create in ways that reflect the interconnected nature of our social and cultural realities. Ideal for intermediate and advanced dancers eager to deepen their understanding of collaborative creativity and to push the boundaries of their practice.
