The @okbirthequity (OKBEI) recently hosted its 4th annual Doula Summit, bringing together doulas from across the state for a day of connection, learning and collaboration in support of equitable birth outcomes for all Oklahomans. OKBEI welcomed partners including @imanisvillage , @ruralokbirthwellness , and nursing students from @langstonuniversity to foster meaningful dialogue on community engagement and care. Avanzando Juntos empowers small businesses and entrepreneurs by providing startup capital, mentorship and resources to build stable businesses. Listening to the needs of local developers and contractors, the organization launched Construyendo Tulsa in 2022—a direct response to community-identified challenges within the housing construction ecosystem. With 36 participants in 2025, Construyendo Tulsa provided training, mentorship and resources surrounding permits and business development to local professionals working in carpentry, welding, home remodeling and more. The 2027-2029 @tulsaartistfellowship applications are officially live. Artists and arts workers with at least five years of experience are welcome to apply for this three-year, place-based fellowship in Tulsa. Ten artists will be selected to receive a comprehensive support package that includes a $150,000 stipend, housing support, studio space and access to shared facilities.
