EXC FESTIVAL | 16th May I Bologna International guests: @nicolini_skinni (LIVE) Beats for the People!! Nicolini, musician and producer currently based in the Netherlands, brings you a hectic scattered party, filling the air with bass shaking Penni Funk. Nicolini live shows sound like a pirate radio station blasting out of cheap speakers from a cracked out Honda Civic, while he’s preaching on top like a naughty cult leader. All four records so far are released by Amsterdam label South of North. His latest album “Quita Maldicion” is coming out in May 2026. @derive_____ ( @pppppoems ) dérive navigates dizzying intensities within sub-bass pressure. Shifting rhythms criss-cross interlocking soundscapes, leaping wherever the bassline takes them. Rooted in UK bass continuums, their sets move through shifting atmospheres while remaining unbound by genre. She co-runs poems a club night and label exploring the fringes of low-end-driven, rhythmically complex club music. Since 2022, they have hosted events at OHM (Berlin). This year, they released their first compilation, Quiet Folds the Pressure into Stillwater Hum, bringing together 15 artists from Europe and beyond. @saud.sutra ( @sutra.club ) SAUD colors the vitalist legacy of hardcore continuum’s breakbeat patterns with contemporary, iridescent gradients to craft a renewed expression of rhythmic psychedelia. Alongside Dorian Fuk, he is the founder of Belgrade’s future-oriented rave platform SUTRA that has brought artists such as Gabber Modus Operandi, Aïsha Devi, ZULI, Slikback, Batu, ABADIR, Aya, Ehua, Lee Gamble, Ploy, Aquarian, Assyouti, Piezo and many more to Serbia. Since the pre-pandemic years, SAUD has positioned himself as Belgrade’s foremost fwd-thinking dj, working within multicolor hypersonic laid across divergent rhythms and tempi, never losing the on dynamics and physicality. Besides running SUTRA he has recently played at @nyegenyegefest , NYC, Beirut, Istanbul, Cairo and basically all over in EU and Balkans. poems returns to OHM with a low-end primed lineup for the heads. Conjuring ᴀᴋÏɪ, ʙ4ᴍʙᴀ (ʟɪᴠᴇ + ᴍᴄ) and ɢɪᴇꜱꜱᴇ — three bass-bending artists working off-grid. ᴀᴋÏɪ — the 𝔯𝔥𝔶𝔱𝔥𝔪 𝔰𝔥𝔞𝔭𝔢𝔯 connecting Berlin and Rome — moving through breakbeat & deconstructed bass, embroidering her fine-woven lattice with glistening details from the net. Stepping in with voice and voltage, ʙ4ᴍʙᴀ (ʟɪᴠᴇ) – a 𝔭𝔬𝔩𝔶𝔯𝔥𝔶𝔱𝔥𝔪𝔦𝔠 𝔣𝔬𝔯𝔠𝔢 from Barcelona – whose bars translate into spontaneous moshpits. Drawing from Afro-diasporic cadence, ʙᴀɪʟᴇ torque and ᴜᴋ ʙᴀꜱꜱ propulsion, he’s now landing IRL after having left his heavy imprint on the first poems release. New recording online via Midgar Soundcloud! Last January we returned to @ohmberlin , one of our favourite venues in Berlin, this time together with the Onyro crew from Madrid. Berlin based @derive_____ opened the night navigating bass weight, broken rhythms and slow building tension. In her own words: Been exploring the liminal zone between misty half-time rhythms and propulsive basslines with this mix. Like a cheeky forest elf finding themself between the pillars and pipes of a tingle-tangled sound-machine body in full effect. Both Midgar and OHM hold a very special place in my heart, so I got really excited when Jacopo asked me to play the opening, giving me the space to shape the atmosphere for the night. Thank you <3

rarely do these long posts but honestly grateful for all the musical moments i got to live while djing and to share with poems this year. seeing ppl make out on the dancefloor (at your own party) just hits different — maybe it’s cheesy, but honestly, it makes me really happy. still thinking about proc fiskal’s mental metal solo chaos, that jersified ml buch moment. bladeblanc and jan loup both twisting the low end in their own clever, sluggish and witchy ways <3 shannon and xen model transforming bar neun into a crystalline hazy dancefloor and hedo hydr8’s insanely smart march set — cph rave, bass, techno, all folded into one. got to see my favorite band(s) moin, still house plants, and nexus turning panke into a moshpit (!!), aya turning zenner into a moshpit (!!), plus kibo, mohammed five and heith’s intimate atonal show — bless probably spent less time in clubs this year than ever, but dance music never left my head. feel like i’m having a crush (again), partly because of a whole midgar nite at fitzroy and ehua turning ohm into a sweatbox for overthinker mob. it’s been good to rethink what being in that space and its music means (even if it meant missing a lot of sets by friends and people i admire). and re: poems… some big things happening soon <3
