Single shot commercial built from multiple hidden cuts. We combined motion control, Steadicam, crane and Movi and stitched it into one continuous take for Ulker. Three days to plan the cinematography. One 18mm FDX from @onestopfilms . A fairly unforgiving technical brief. The aim was to make the scenes flow into each other as smoothly as possible. Some of my favourite frames from our commercial for SYNC w/ director @_jeremidurand . I particularly enjoyed the GIANT LED SCREEN which enabled us to do all the fancy duplication effects in camera with some savvy playback techs. . I lit the bedroom scene with 2 dinos through the window. Production weren’t enamoured with my asking for a enormous crane for lighting (when are they ever) BUT I didn’t choose the 4th story location (I just said it was the only one that worked for our look…🫣). Did I mention the LED screen was ENORMOUS? . Tbh all the scenes were lit with one lamp, be it a HMI at the end of the street shot for an early morning feel, or the long shadow cast by a 10k tungsten through the doorway or the trusty dino through the window. You can’t go wrong with single source cinematography. Also we had this MASSIVE LED screen which was like 20 meters high.
